To think waxed chests are now the norm for men.?

I am just wondering if i am out of step here because everywhere i turn whether its in real life or in the media, all i see is men with totally bald smooth presumable waxed chests. Is this now the norm? It must take a lot of maintenance. How far do you go? Do you also also shave and wax your pubes/balls?

Im not keen on hairless chests on men, it looks a bit like a Ken doll or something if they are quite muscular.

DH is 31, he doesn't wax or shave but he only grows the smallest tuft in the centre of his chest so to see him topless you may think he did.

I don't think it's true of men in general - but it's certainly true of men in media. It's a shame really because it's just going to cause the same problem women have had for years - people expecting them to be hairless.

Oooh I love a hairy chest. I don't know anyone that shaves theirs.

My DH has a hairy chest. Getting hairier as he goes to 40.

I LOVE IT He's all fit and muscly and tanned (outdoor manual job).

A lot of the muscly men i see at the pool/beach ect have jim-bunny muscles (you can tell the difference) and shave all their hair off. Yuk.

DH is one of the hairiest people on the planet - he has tried waxing his chest in the past but struggles with the ingrown hair issue, so now he just has a body hair shaver and buzzes his hair off when it gets too unmanageable. The reason he does it, is he said it's too hard to dry himself after a shower. I do his back for him as I'm a lovely wife .

I don't care if he has hair or not it's his body and as long as he's happy and comfortable I'm happy.

I have noticed a lot of very shiny chested men in the gym and I have to say it’s not for me. It looks really odd when they have a carefully- manicured stubble beard and then are waxed from the neck down. Too much contrast. I love hairier men, specifically darker haired ones - and DH is one of them.

I think it’s to do with shows like Love Island etc where the men wax everything!

Don't think it's the norm and I hope it doesn't become it😁😁

Some do it for gym. Some do it when it's hot because if anyone is like my DH it's like wearing a sweater... Or shedding bear fur coat🙄

It's not a good luck and thankfully most of the men I see in RL leave their hair alone

I have fairly recently got back from a holiday to Fuerterventura. There are plenty of nudist beaches, my dh and I both noted the lack of any body hair on males and females of all ages.

I just don't know what i would do if confronted with a man with a bald public area

I don't think I've ever met a man with a waxed chest, my youngest brother is quite smooth but I think he just doesn't grow a lot of hair, he can't grow facial hair either. I love a nice bit of chest hair on a man, though not as hairy as my dad who I think may be part gorilla!

I love a hairy chest, but even those with hair now trim it so it’s all stubbly instead of curly and luxuriant!! I think it’s gross when men epilate, not gonna lie. All the bald armpits and chests on Love Island freak me out a bit.

Love it! DH has naturally very little body hair. It's definitely a look I love.

I thought men shaved their pubic area to give the impression things are bigger than they actually are.

My ex just didn’t grow chest hair. He was dark and quite hairy everywhere else but it didn’t grow there- weird.

DP has chest hair and I like it.

I find hairy chests really sexy.. don't like the waxed look. Think it's probably more for younger men

DH has a hairy chest and I love it! I think the hairless look is not so nice, very Ken & Barbieish!

My DH trims his chest, pubes and sack. He’s 50. I prefer it as well
