To think £140 electric usage a month is insane?

Just want to get an idea, we are a family of four, living in a 2 bed new build house with so called economic air pump heating. Eon reckons we use £140 a month averaged out over the year.
Is this insane or is this how much electric costs these days?

3 bed house, £60 a month for electricity, £45 a month for gas, both from British Gas, i turn everything off when i'm not in and the same at bedtime. You should look for a different supplier although electric is more expensive than gas

I'm in a two bed flat with no gas supply and economy seven heating. I pay EON £105 per month by direct debit and occasionally have to pay an extra £40 or so. I have shopped around and the cheapest I have found is £95 a month.

Blimey. I've just looked at my records for gas and electric 2017 and it averages £71pm for both, so you are paying double!!

We are with British Gas (duel fuel) standard tariff, 2 bed terraced house.

Ouch! We pay £90 per month combined for a big 4 bed semi, where we run lots of electronics and heat generously. Yours seems a lot!
