I know we don't know the facts of Phillip Schofield's disagreement with Amanda Holden but she's going around blaming him in the papers for her losing work opportunities without a shred of evidence. Surely he wouldn't have that much power over decisions as a presenter?! Feel sorry for the poor guy, he seems genuine enough and not the sort to bear grudges for no reason but should have a right of reply at least.

Personally I am ambivalent towards her. However, if you're going to make accusations surely you need to back them up with evidence?

The issue isn’t who sounds/looks nice presenter or person.
The issue is the influence of one person on decisions that have nothing to do with them.
The issue is whether it’s ok for someone too carry some sort of vendetta by stopping another professional from getting some jobs just because they don’t get along.

I don’t know any of them but I would suspect that AH is more likely to be telling the truth. Patriarcal society and all that.

Me and DD went and watched “the cube” being filmed once when PS was presenting and he was really nice then. While all the games were being set up he was going round chatting to the audience, posing for pics with them etc. Seemed like a nice guy.

I’m not keen on either of them but I really, really don’t like Holly. Bring back Richard and Judy. Or have Rylan on every day.

Don't forget that Lorraine recently had a court case about tax payments where she argued that her on screen persona was just her playing a role. I expect most TV presenters do the same, cosy Uncle Phil the Silver Fox being no exception. I remember him being a bit short with a Loose Woman during a link and I do get a feeling of dislike for him from Ruth and Eammon. I can't bear him, really false and there's something behind his eyes I don't like.

There were rumours that PS was getting more money than Fern Britten despite her being a proper journalist and being the presenter before him. I read that she left programme decisions to the producers whereas he involved himself more in content and grew his influence sufficiently to oust her when she objected to wage disparity. Have no idea if this is fact or rumour but I do I feel she was unfairly treated by ITV.
Holly Willoughby is married to a producer - I suspect PS close friendship with her is not an accident. There was a joint HW/PS magazine article recently where HW was described as queen of TV or something and apparently PS was not at all happy about being relegated to second place. Have also read that Eamonn and Ruth have approached itv with issues and that the public complained about PS treatment of AH on air, claiming he was belittling her.
Now I have no real knowledge if this fact or just rumour but it seems to build a picture.

I have heard If PS doesn’t like someone then they don’t get to work with him, the guy has a massive ego. I do think that he and Amanda are two sides of the same coin though.

I don’t have an opinion on Amanda Holden but she’s not famous for being married to Les Dennis. She was successful way before that so can people actually read up on the people they are slating. Just makes you look stupid, otherwise.

She is so annoying and brings nothing to any programme she is on.

He thinks he is the best thing ever. He letches over Holly all the time.

Someone I know who worked with AH described her as “difficult” . Therefore I don’t much like her.

I’ve turned off Heart radio since they sacked the two morning radio presenters locally and replaced them with a nationwide show with AH as one of the presenters.

And again dislike of one woman doesn’t make this thread “woman bashing”. I could go on and on about women I do admire in the media and again about men I dislike.

Just not keen on AH and find her a bit fake.

YABU. Can't stand Amanda, but think Philip is even worse. A nasty little man who doesn't like strong, opinionated women. He's fallen out with Holly as well if you believe the papers.

I’m not totally convinced by Philip Schofield’s “nice guy” image. He rose to fame on the gopher’s coattails, then ditched him the moment he hit the big time. Bring back Gordon I say.

If he has contributed to Amanda Holden being on the TV less then I am definitely Team Schofield - but then again I wouldn’t go by what the papers have reported.

What a strange thought. Most people have a dislike of certain celebrities, male and female. Why is it a hatred of women?😕

I like PS. He has commented on his Twitter yesterday which makes me think this is a non story.

I don't see why he shouldn't have a say in who he presents with but don't think it happened.

Because they're a ridiculous faux-feminist and felt like spitting out a bit of faux-outrage.

I read that PS went for the IACGMOOH role alongside Dec but was passed over in place of HW. PS then apparently tried to pitch the idea that This Morning was taken to Australia as a one-off arrangement whilst HW was there. Again, his pitch wasn’t successful so (if it’s all true) he might have been aggrieved and stood his ground when ITV suggested AH to cover for HW.

Should have added that I don’t really like PS, HW or AH. I think Eamonn and Ruth are far more professional.

Really he just couldn't stand Holly getting all the adulation.

I like Rylan and Emma Willis. Plus I think Alison Hammond is (on the whole-Meghan shouting excepted) very funny.

I don't believe the story about PS and the jungle at all.
