I know we don't know the facts of Phillip Schofield's disagreement with Amanda Holden but she's going around blaming him in the papers for her losing work opportunities without a shred of evidence. Surely he wouldn't have that much power over decisions as a presenter?! Feel sorry for the poor guy, he seems genuine enough and not the sort to bear grudges for no reason but should have a right of reply at least.

There does seem to be this club at ITV where they pool all their "darlings" into one big happy family. It all just comes across as very false and I would bet they all hate each other in RL.

I do think that ITV overplay their favourite hosts. I don’t enjoy the Phil and holly double act, Steven Mulhern is also wheeled way too much. Piers - well that is a definite channel changer for me!

They must be popular, and I’m obviously not part of the target audience.

I've no idea what has gone on with Schofield, but television is a cut-throat business, and I'm sure that most of them take every opportunity to advance themselves at other people's expense.

Despite what people think, its actually a very small industry, everyone knows everyone.

You shit on someone then people stop working with you, keep in mind this could be camera crew, lighting, production, make up, costume, etc etc etc, while people like Holden and Scholsfield have some pull with the higher ups, if the behind the scene guys stop working with them (and most are self employed) then they are in the shit

Once again the celebs prove how thin skinned they are and how desperately they need approval and adoration by the British public.

Personally I love Phillip. But I think it’s important to accept that what we see from presenters, actors, celebrities etc is a public face - no matter how lovely they seem we don’t know what they’re like in real life.

PS does like the much younger female presenter doesn’t he? I always felt it was so he looked more professional and polished, it perhaps he likes a more malleable personality.

Amanda Holden is a strong personality and I bet she takes no shit from him and he doesn’t like it. She’s hilarious on Heart radio. I don’t think she has any chemistry with Jamie Theakston but feel that’s his issue not hers.

Amanda Holden is a very successful west end actress in her own right, so whatever you think of her / her tv presenting skills can we not have the sexist bullshit about her only being famous because she married someone famous, please.

I think people forget that what they see on television is usually a persona. Phil Schofield might be a nice guy who, for some reason to do with career or for a personal reason, doesn’t see himself working with a particular co-presenter and said so. Or he might be a jerk. This “team Phil” crap is like listening to babies arguing over the TV remote when they don’t know what it does. Completely abstracted from the situation and pointless.
