I wanted to work in an office with my name on the door, wear a suit and carry a briefcase. I became a lawyer, albeit in an open plan office/WFH in pjs.

Air hostess or a teacher.
I’m a childminder so I suppose I did sort of go into education. Still a massive part of me that wants to be an air hostess though, I love flying and going abroad!

piefacedClique · 20/06/2019 22:28

A pig farmer! 🙈🐷🐷🐷

I wanted to be a geneticist. I was really into the science of heredity and read all the related books in the library over and over.
I also wanted to be a competition winner. There were so many material things and experiences that were way out of reach for my family so I thought I would have to win them.

Now I work as a senior manager in the public sector, although I do have a Biology undergraduate degree. I wouldn't say I enter loads of competitions but I have won a few things over the years (never a trolley dash though, sadly). I do have lots of lovely experiences too, and have realised the trick to having nice things is hard work and a bit of luck, rather than winning a game show or a scratchcard that fell out of my granddad's Daily Express.

A nun a missionary, bluebell dancer or in pans people.

Ladymargarethall · 21/06/2019 07:34

Daddylonglegs what did you become?

I forgot that in addition to wanting to be a missionary I wanted to be a ballet dancer. Quite difficult to achieve when you have zero talent!

Daddylonglegs1965 · 29/06/2019 23:09

An adviser lol I better not say too much about what sort of Adviser. I think I was inspired by films about nuns and another film about a missionary overseas leading children to safety.
