freshasthebrightbluesky · 20/06/2019 20:10

Every since I started school I wanted to be a teacher because I thought that they did nothing but boss people about and get other people (the children) to do all the work so it must be easy.

I'm now a teacher Grin

lickthewrapper · 20/06/2019 20:16

An orchestra conductor Smile

Camomila · 20/06/2019 20:22

A fairy
An astronaut
Biologist or chemist
Ballerina

As an actual grown up my dream job would be an epidemiologist.

GMtoBe · 20/06/2019 20:23

An astronaut, a doctor, a lawyer, a primary school teacher. Am actually a secondary teacher.

iklboo · 20/06/2019 20:28

Paleontologist
Actress
Journalist
Forensic scientist

Goandplay · 20/06/2019 20:28

Primary school teacher.
Social worker.

My mum said I should be an accountant.

Through numerous jobs changes I worked in the financial services industry, realised I loved numbers and retrained after maternity leave to do AAT. Loved all the training and have worked in various account roles since.

I should’ve listened to my mum. I could’ve been a lot further than I am now.

Lavende · 20/06/2019 20:31

A nurse. Then kids came along. Currently studying for my degree in adult nursing. Should be qualified by the time I’m 41.

Buttons4me · 20/06/2019 20:32

A hotel receptionist in a very posh hotel checking in all the rich and famous people.

TORDEVAN · 20/06/2019 20:32

A mother
A police woman

I managed 50% of that 😅

Nodney · 20/06/2019 20:36

Journalist
Scientist
Police officer
RAF officer

No. I'm none of those!

Mumsymumphy · 20/06/2019 20:37

A teacher.
I used to line my teddies up in the front garden and play 'school'. I used to make worksheets of sums and make certificates to give to my friends.

I'm a teacher 😁

VeniVidiViciTwice · 20/06/2019 20:39

Doctor, marine, RAF fighter pilot and a ballerina. Told I couldn't be the first three because I was a girl Angry and I couldn't be a prima ballerina as I had two left feet.

Tallgreenbottle · 20/06/2019 20:42

A physics professor.

My gcse physics tutor lost my coursework and claimed I never handed it in. Made me copy another child's in the class on the day and I got a D :( I only scraped an overall C after the exam and failed to get in to Physics at college. Then got so angry at the world I quit college anyway.

It's weird how one stupid little error by someone else can sort of dictate a child's entire life.

I lost all faith in education after that and only now am I going back to study properly (OU) at 33.

VeniVidiViciTwice · 20/06/2019 20:43

Oh and sadly I am none of those, I am a SAHM about to begin a degree with the aim of studying post grad cyber security.

LuannC · 20/06/2019 20:45

Vet
Hairdresser
Teacher

I currently work in childcare and have done for many years - the only profession I know!

EmeraldShamrock · 20/06/2019 20:48

Nurse.

Unicorn trainer.
Didn't go on in school needed to work so I didn't look like a scruff. Wink

feellikeanalien · 20/06/2019 20:49

Journalist.
Doctor.
Air hostess (as it was described then).

I m none of these.

tierraJ · 20/06/2019 20:49

When I was a child I wanted to be a Fighter Pilot or a Vicar!
Women couldn't do either of those jobs in those days.

As a teenager I wanted to be a war journalist like Kate Adie.

I'm actually a healthcare assistant.

I would still like to be a journalist...

ChevalierTialys · 20/06/2019 20:52

A travel writer or child psychologist. Its depressing how far from either of those I am.

Ithinkmycatisevil · 20/06/2019 20:55

A stunt woman.

LoeweMulberry · 20/06/2019 20:55

I wanted to be left alone> I wanted to be invisible. I wanted to find the things everybody else found easy at least do-able. That's all. I had no big goal. Just to slip under the radar and survive all the demands

ChristmasFluff · 20/06/2019 20:56

A pussy cat (out of Josie and the Pussy Cats), an astronaut, or a physiotherapist.

1 out of 3 ain't bad.

Muddlingalongalone · 20/06/2019 22:13

Can't remember what I wanted to be as a young child apart from Olympic gymnast
Cabin crew
Marine Biologist
Sports journalist
Lawyer (in This Life)

I am none of the above....

Piglet89 · 20/06/2019 22:15

What I wanted: hairdresser/actor
What I am: lawyer

😭
