To ask which family car you own?

Posting here for traffic.....

My other thread gained 0 posts so I thought I would rephrase on here.

Money is tight so I need to make sure that I am making the right decision. I am wanting to buy a 3 year old Nissan Qashqai. It is a small engine 1.2 but I am told it has plenty of power for motorway driving.

Can I ask which car you would recommend for a family car which is reliable, spacious and cheap to run.

MountainPeakGeek, those stats are very worrying.

I like the ford kuga but not sure it has enough boot space. Like honda CRV but cannot find one within my budget.

Honda Civic, love it. It's also a 1.2 but it's not the engine size you need to look up, it's the 0-60 as a lot of manufacturers lowering engine size while keeping more power.

We have also had an old forrester in the past and that was reliable and nippy

I have a 14 plate qashqui. I've never had a problem with mine, drives really nicely, nice and roomie but not too big. Definetly would recommend!

Fiat 500x I love it. Smaller than an SUV but bigger than a regular car.

We have a Qashqai, nearly 10 years old, 1.6 petrol (not turbo.) I love it!Best car I've ever owned. But it's rare that we use it on motorways, and OH does complain that it doesn't have enough 'oomph' - he's used to driving his works can which is much newer and more powerful, so he really notices a difference. I'd buy another Qashqai, or perhaps an X trail next for something slightly bigger, but would go for a more powerful engine.

We have a 1.2 Qashqai, absolutely fine for motorway driving.
