To ask for your help...due on my period 2 days before my Wedding day!

Posting here cos I know I'll get a response and didnt know where else to post this.

I'm getting married in July and just worked out that I am due on my period 2 days before the big day. How do I delay it? (Not just from a sex point of view btw but I'm normally very heavy on day 2 and 3 and obviously going to be wearing a white dress) I can also usually predict my period within a day give or take so don't think I can just hope that I'm late as that's never happened before. I am not on any form of contraception due to a history of DVT during my pregnancy (so had to stop Microgynon), and the other pill I was given made me a bit loopy. It doesn't seem likely that I will be prescribed Norethisterone as everything I've read suggests you shouldn't take it if you've ever had a blood clot. So what the hell am I meant to do? Pleeeease help me 😭

Period pants are amazing. I would have a couple of pairs in case you feel ‘icky’ at all. Mine usually comfortably last 16 hours but best to have spares on hand just in case.

Have a lovely wedding day!

Another vote for period pants.
Whenever me and DH are feeling frisky and I'm on, we just jump in the shower together.
Might not be your cup of tea but I thought I'd suggest it, in case. Wink

How long have you got until your wedding? I started a pack of microgynon about 6 weeks before my wedding to make sure I had my period about 10 days before. It worked!
If you could start taking them now you can just run 2 packs together so you don't have your period at all next month? Fingers crossed there is time!

My dress was so tight I couldn't wear underwear... My period would have kind of ruined things Confused

In the very first post 🤦🏻‍♀️

Has anyone - anyone at all - suggested you try Norethisterone? 😂

Or perhaps you could just cancel the cheque...

I've heard all the delaying meds can result in a really heavy period once you do let it start. Honestly, I'd just be glad to be 2 days into it and heading out of it once on honeymoon, get some really good painkillers and the period pants lined up, and go with it. Have a bridesmaid on hand and aware to help with loo etc and having tampons or painkillers handy. Book any waxing etc for a couple of days before it's due.
