AIBU to tell DH he looks ridiculous?!! He's in a mood now and has stopped off!!

OP posts:
LifeIsGoodish · 13/06/2019 12:17

Are his feet different sizes?

PurpleWithRed · 13/06/2019 12:22

DH does this too. There is probably a specialist website where people like him meet and chat and share pictures.. I've made it clear that I will tolerate it at home in private where it is his personal choice but I will not be joining him and if anyone other than me ever sees it I will kill him.

SpeckofStardust · 13/06/2019 12:37

Yeah, the6 have to go. I think you have two options:

divorce him and demand the ownership of the flip flops as part of the settlement so you can, as legal owner, burn them

kill him (easy enough to make it look like an accident, push him down the stairs and say he tripped in the ridiculous footwear) then have him cremated wearing the flip flops

Either way you get rid of the flip flops!

Candleglow7475 · 13/06/2019 12:43

It’s cool if you are 17, tragic if you’re a middle aged man though.
Nb- those flip flops look past their best, he could replace with Nike sliders if does want to look like a cool teen 😂

LynetteScavo · 13/06/2019 16:54

I met a woman at a wedding wearing tights and flip flops once. Confused

Bookworm4 · 14/06/2019 13:56

Socks and sliders are definitely a thing; if you’re under 25.

Bookworm4 · 14/06/2019 13:58

Just seen OP photo, please put these abominations in the bin, do not ask just bin, burn, destroy.

Hahaha88 · 14/06/2019 16:51

Oh my they are way past their best

Thuglife · 14/06/2019 17:27

ExH used to do this- with his black M&S socksEnvy shudders.

Gottalovesummer · 14/06/2019 17:33

I can't stop laughing at the sellotape!

Thank you OP, you've really cheered me up!

Freyasmum1 · 14/06/2019 17:38

Well yes of course
What else keeps your socks dry when you've mislaid your crocs?

steff13 · 14/06/2019 17:43

Ugh, those are gross. Crocs make a very comfortable flip-flop. Throw these away and get him a pair of those.

ForalltheSaints · 14/06/2019 17:44

OP YANBU. A sad trend that some overpaid footballers seem to follow.

generalexpert · 14/06/2019 17:55

Get the man some crocs. Much better with socks.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 14/06/2019 17:58

What a pervert.

Aquamarine1029 · 14/06/2019 18:10

Has he recently had a mental collapse? Is he 85 years old?

DontCallMeShitley · 14/06/2019 18:25

I am not actually sure that is any worse than women wearing those fluffy Chinese dog fur slipper type sliders that look as if they put them on when they got out of bed and forgot to take them off.

Especially if they are so dangerous to wear that they slip off and you get glared at for running over them with your supermarket trolley.

Fashion victims, all of them.

ToPlanZ · 14/06/2019 22:17

Buy him some Japanese split toe socks, at least that will rid you of the eyesore of sock bunching.

StCharlotte · 14/06/2019 23:15

AKA Ninja Slippers
AKA Camel Toe

Sorry.

ToPlanZ · 15/06/2019 14:36

Camel toe - brilliant Grin

Thequaffle · 15/06/2019 14:38

LTB

Jeffter · 15/06/2019 14:40

DD does this but with sliders. We're of an age where she's young enough to get away with such nonsense whereas I'm not Grin

The thought of socks bunched up between my toes makes me feel unwell tbh.

Nubbled · 15/06/2019 14:50

I saw three Buddhist monks wearing thick woollen socks and flip flops last week. Never seen anything like it before.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 15/06/2019 15:00

It just shows what nonsense fashion is if they can convince people that socks and any kind of sandal is trendy.
It'll be a knotted hanky on the head next season you mark my words!
