To be pregnant 6 weeks after birth?

I'm seriously freaking out right now.

I've had pregnancy symptoms for the past few days and have just spectacularly thrown up all over the bathroom. Im rarely sick, only when I was pregnant so now I am seriously concerned. I have had aversions to certain foods and also cravings.

Surely it's not possible? I haven't had a period since giving birth, just the regular post partum bleeding that stopped around 3 weeks ago.

Could I even take a test this soon? So many things are going through my mind right now i can't think straight.

I'm with Happyhillock (previous page). How can someone have sexual intercourse so soon after giving birth? Shows a great lack of self control and no consideration for the woman.

However, very glad your're not pregnant and please ensure you don't become pregnant until you are ready for another child.

What if she initiates it?

Is it just me or is there a hint of a second line? Confused

@happyhillock @Bluerussian sorry I don't understand you. I initiated sex one of the two times.

Eh? I was mad horny immediately after and had to wait until 4-6weeks due to stitches otherwise would’ve sooner! Hormones!

Looks negative to me

gamerchick · 12/06/2019 13:03

That's a negative test and if you had that much hormone to get symptoms that strongly then I would expect a positive.

Sex before 6 weeks PP *crosses legs

alfie22 · 12/06/2019 13:03

@GlassSuppers do you think? I can really say the faintest hint of a line.

I bought 2 so I'll do another, just no idea when as I haven't had a period

I'd say so yes.
Given the symptoms you describe you would have a very definite positive by now. I don't think that's a positive

MrTumblePulledAKnifeOnMe · 12/06/2019 13:06

It looks there there could be a line, looks grey though. Can you take a closer pic?

HulksPurplePanties · 12/06/2019 13:06

You sound like me when I was getting my first period after having DS OP. I highly doubt you're pregnant, it's just PMS.

Happycow · 12/06/2019 13:07

Looks like there is a hint of a line but could be evap etc? Id try FRER.
But as PPs have said if youre far enough gone to have symptoms should be a strong positive by now id have thought...

MrsMozartMkII · 12/06/2019 13:08

I can see the very faintest of lines, but I don't know if that's just part of the test.

GrandTheftWalrus · 12/06/2019 13:08

I had sex at 3 weeks PP. I wanted to. There was no lack of consideration for me.

GlassSuppers · 12/06/2019 13:09

I agree with Hulks I get pregnancy symptoms every month when I'm due on, including the vomiting and every month I convince myself that I'm pregnant and it's just PMS (really frustrating when TTC!)

I hope it's the result you want OP

GrandTheftWalrus · 12/06/2019 13:10

OP go onto the countdown to pregnancy website and upload the pic. You can invert it then etc to see if there is a line.

Good luck.

alfie22 · 12/06/2019 13:10

Managed to get a better picture but it won't let me upload? I'm going to upload to Imgur and attach a link.

I am convinced there's a line.

I can see something very faint, could you buy a FRER test?. I know the tests you’ve used show a lot of evap lines.

Damntheman · 12/06/2019 13:18

That looks negative to me. I don't see any second line at all.

OddshoesOddsocks · 12/06/2019 13:19

I think I see what you see OP but I’m a bugger for doing that with negative tests! I don’t think there’s line but would definitely do another in a few days. Was the test a sensitive one? Not wanting to insult your intelligence but if you’re not sure when you’re due on then doing one that requires a missed period will be no good.

Also, ignore the judgments, this thread is proof of how much misinformation there is about contraception etc, you’ve just had a baby, give yourself a break and learn a lesson for next time!
