To think it's disgusting to not wash your feet/legs?

I keep seeing posts on twitter about the amount of people who apparently don't wash their legs or feet in the shower (there was a picture that's been circulating of all the parts of your body colour coded into what should be scrubbed thouroughly, what should be less intensely washed etc). AIBU to think not washing your legs and feet in the shower is just really unpleasant? It takes ten seconds maximum, why would anyone deliberately not do it?

I never understand how it's OK to come on MN to point and laugh at other people's cleaning habits, but not OK even to mention grammatical mistakes.

MyBlueMoonbeam · 10/06/2019 23:43

I'm still 😳 at standing to wipe

DoctorDread · 10/06/2019 23:48

so I always have a shower first so I can be clean for it.

Omg. You shower so you're clean for your bath?????
Confused

I'm constantly horrified on these threads by all the people who are so scared of a bit of dirt. I bet none of the people who are so worried by not washing legs could tell a washed leg from an unwashed one unless the not washing involves actually not bathing or showering regularly. If you are immersing yourself in water most days, whether shower or bath, you are clean enough. Your legs don't need extra washing unless you are very sweaty and I really don't understand how legs get sweaty. Even in 30+ degree heat I'm mostly only sweaty in my armpits and maybe face, both of which get washed at least daily.

And anyone who is showering before getting in the bath has a problem. And is killing the planet.

Epanoui · 11/06/2019 00:28

I also don't get why you need to stand up to wipe. This is really odd!

Shodan · 11/06/2019 00:28

I wash my feet after training because school halls especially are really disgustingly dirty. Other than that, they get swooshed in the bath water, which, since I bath every day, isn't filthy, because I don't get routinely doused in poo crumbs or other nasty things.

I tell you what IS discustin' though, and that's people who wear trainers/converse things without socks. They should all be rounded up and pelted with their stinky footwear.

Not even disgusting as it's their own shoes. What is fascinating is how they have no blisters!? I tried and ended up with giant blisters after an hour

Shodan · 11/06/2019 00:35

Ewwwwwww but they get all sweaty and slidey and stinky. Ooh, unless their feet are covered in lizard skin, which would also account for the no-blisters.

LightDrizzle · 11/06/2019 00:47

Surely if you stand to wipe, your bum cheeks are clamped shut? How does standing aid wiping?
I reach back through my open legs sat on the loo, and assumed everyone else did the same!

OldAndWornOut · 11/06/2019 00:51

You're supposed to wipe front to back, so I used to reach around, but I think my arms have shrunk!

MyBlueMoonbeam · 11/06/2019 01:03

😆

LilQueenie · 11/06/2019 01:27

The water and suds that run down your leg into the bottom of the shower do wash you just as then ends of your hair are cleaned as the shampoo runs from the top to the bottom.

vampirethriller · 11/06/2019 07:57

I scrub all over including legs with the bath scrunchy thing. I wouldn't say it was disgusting not to though.

OddHoleySocks · 11/06/2019 08:01

I guess the people that think that soapy water dripping down something cleans it don't need to scrub their pots and pans or wipe their plates...

Wink
SimplySteveRedux · 11/06/2019 08:02

Have to do mine daily, hyperhidrosis is a pain in the ass especially in summer.

ShitAtScarbble · 11/06/2019 08:08

Seriously - you're fretting about 'sitting in your own filth' in the bath? I'm beyond Shock at this attitude. What is the matter with you?

Unless you've been living rough under a bridge in the height of summer for 6 weeks you're unlikely to be wallowing in filth when you have a bath.
You sound absolutely ridiculous and I can't help thinking you need some help with your issues.

TheAverageJuror · 11/06/2019 08:22

Nope. Because that's kind of how dishwasher works, isn't it😁 Except the driping part, but the water in a shower also doesn't just drip on my legs

woollyheart · 11/06/2019 08:36

Maybe your knees and legs get sweaty because they are trying to recover from the regular scrubbing that you give them?

Manumanadoodoodadoo · 11/06/2019 08:42

The second thread like this-is someone with a fetish starting these threads? Also why are people giving such personal habits? Im by no means a prude but this just seems weird or is it just me thinking this??

BonnieBelleStarr · 21/06/2019 22:50

I wash my feet everyday.
