I've made a really bad judgement call this morning...

So... The kitten peed on the child's beanbag.
I couldn't get the smell out so I decided that emptying the inside sack (because they all have sacks right!?) and washing the cover in the machine was the way to go...

When I opened the beanbag, I was confronted with a torrent of loose beans..
So I proceed to fetch a bin bag, when I return (from 3 steps over in a cupboard), said kitten is INSIDE THE BLOODY BEANBAG!!

Still keeping my cool I thought... Yeah if I suck them up in the hoover extension I can just tip them into the bin bag...

Now my vac is broken, there's beans everywhere and I want to burn the house down so I don't get found out!

On the upside, the kitten is loving it

Oh OP I feel your pain.....we had a beanbag burst before Christmas, and they got stuck between the wooden floorboards. I still go round with a metal skewer poking them out. My DN2 often brings me one on the end of his little finger .

I feel your pain, we had a bean bag burst. Still finding those little balls everywhere. Took me 5 hours to clean up and I also broke my hoover

However on the upside, my kitten too loved playing in them

I had this but it was my son's friend landing on the beanbag from a great height.
Dustpan and brush proved to be the most efficient in picking them up.
Be aware that there is NEVER an inner bag with a beanbag. When you replace it (which will be necessary) buy one with a PVC cover and cover with your existing cover.
When our old cat peed on our cloth bean bags I put them in the bath and turned the shower on them and put them out in the garden to dry in the middle of the rotary drier. Its a good idea to dowse the bean bag in a mix of water and white vinegar to stop the cat again.

I made my dcs beanbags. You can buy a stretchy net material - think it's called stocking net - to use as an inner bean bag for easy washing.

I have never burst a bean bag. I don’t have any cute kitten pictures.
But when my DS2 dragged the chair up to the kitchen surface and played with the sugar bowl there was sugar EVERYWHERE! I thought hoovering it up seemed like a good plan. My poor dyson was sticky inside the extension pipe and the dust catcher for years! Trying to wash it out made it worse.

When you wash the beanbag cover, please check it for cats.

We had a Hama beads disaster once. We were finding them for years.
