To be offended that THIS appeared in a thread?

I was innocently sat reading a thread when this horrific advert image appeared and burned itself into my retinas.

AIBU to be offended?

Or is it that, as a 44 year old, I am just ignorant of fashion trends, and that this socks n sandals combo is actually 'well peng' or something?

What is it with the fluffy mule things. Fist time a saw it I thought the poor women had forgotten to take her slippers off before hitting the pubs

Yabvvvvu to be offended that something appeared in a thread.. And then make it appear in a thread dedicated to it, so that people like me that hadn't seen it, so.

Well. What started out as a jokey post.....I succumbed and clicked on the website...(I was intrigued) - they are for children! £75-£80 depending on what size you get!

Now, why on god's earth has that picture been used to sell children's shoes?! The tattoo? And, forgive me if I am wrong here, but next to that tattoo it looks like either varicose veins or stretch marks, especially if you enlarge the picture.

I'm just baffled!

How about theses then.....?

I don't know about socks and sandals but visible socks are very much 'in'! I got stuck in traffic going past the local college earlier and it was hilarious. I'm not exaggerating when I say there wasn't a single student who passed (and there were many!) who didn't have his or her socks firmly on show! I knew if my dad stuck like a limpet to his 'shrunken by the washing machine til they're almost up to his shins' trousers he'd start a fashion eventually, and I was right!

Still, it could never be as daft as the '6 inches of underpants showing above the waistline' trend, so let them get on with it...

I just donned, socks and sandals today. Love it!

Omg I love them

I love socks and sandals - not for a fashion reason but just because it is sooo practical. There are weather conditions where it is the only foot combo that gets you at the right temperature. And so flexible in a changeable climate. You can take the socks on or off as the weather changes during the day.

It's brilliant! I love it!
