We had our roof redone this week wi5h all drain pipes fascia borads done. Our neighbours ariel was on our front fascia board. So the builders had to take it down and put it back up on there house.
She came round yesterday saying how cheeky it was to touch there ariel and that it wasnt working downstairs that the wore wasnt connected and wanted my 14 year old to go uo and fix the wire. Now shes not been up so cant see how she knows how its not connected as theres no wores hanging down.
Can we get into trouble touching her ariel or are we within rights as it was on our property. Its not been moved by much.

It's they're not there're
When you correct spelling mistakes, it's always wise to make sure that every word that you write is spelled correctly. Otherwise you end up looking really stupid.

She's a CF - her aerial needs to be on her house, not yours. It's her problem, she needs to get an engineer out.

SATL · 03/06/2019 09:53

I'd be pissed if somebody messed with my TV aerial Angry but i don't know the circumstances why it was on your roof in the first place Hmm

IvanaPee · 03/06/2019 09:58

But is it on her own property now, OP?

Because I’d be loathe to have it on mine.

I think you should post a note saying “please ensure that you’re aerial is on your own property and not mine” if it’s still on yours.

They don’t sound like reasonable people!

MrsPMT · 03/06/2019 10:09

If her aerial was on your property and you moved it onto hers so you could get work done its up to her to fix it, not you (or anyone else on your behalf). She is being a CF.

RaptorWhiskers · 03/06/2019 10:16

Glad it’s fixed. But legally you could have removed it from your property and just dumped it on her doorstep. As you could with anything else that was put on your property without your permission.

TonTonMacoute · 03/06/2019 10:20

Sorry!? You were cheeky for taking her tv aerial off your roof! How does anyone even have the nerve to say that?

She needs to get someone in to install an aerial that works on her own roof!

1tisILeClerc · 03/06/2019 10:23

The correct proceedure should have been, following the OP's observation that neighbours aerial was on her house, should have written to the NDN saying they are having repairs done to the house and that as their aerial is on (my) property, it is their responsibility to remove it so that work can commence.
The fact it shouldn't have been on the OP's house in the first place should be mentioned and that it should be reinstalled on the correct property.
It only needed to be short and sweet laying out the facts.

Op not your fault and really people on here saying they'd be annoyed with you wtaf it's the ops property the cf Ariel was attached to not the other way around 🤦🏻‍♀️ and if you did try and communicate with your neighbour and they've not answered then so be not your issue kindly point that out next time she moans

FinallyHere · 03/06/2019 10:47

If she's going to be arsey then I'd remove the aerial from my property completely.

This ^

RaptorWhiskers · 03/06/2019 10:47

should have written to the NDN saying they are having repairs done to the house and that as their aerial is on (my) property, it is their responsibility to remove it
OP is not legally required to do this. She can remove the aerial and dump it on their front lawn if she wants.
