To actually consider I could be pregnant 8 weeks after having baby?

Baby born April 2nd. 22nd May got what seemed to be first period, but it didn't last as long as normal (I read it's normal for them to change pp though).

About a week (give or take) beforehand, dtd twice and he pulled out, and once dtd no pulling out. The day after the suspected period had finished (26th May) also dtd no pulling out (sorry for details).

Tuesday night I felt sick when I woke up, like I was going to be sick (I sleep evenings so night is my morning). This morning (now) I feel nausea again.

I am probably just overly paranoid because with my first pregnancy nausea was the first symptom and it started pretty much immediately after conception. Also I noticed a 'difference' in the smell of dh's tobacco (which was just increased sense of smell) and lately I can smell his tobacco when it's in the pouch a couple of feet away.

If it wasn't for the suspected period I would feel a lot more sure I was pregnant. I feel too sick to proof read this I hope it makes sense!

@Headboardbanging. Wow that has to be the bitchiest comment I’ve seen for a while. Maybe she just loves number 1 so much she can also look forward to number 2.

Itwouldtakemuchmorethanthis · 31/05/2019 08:18

@Headboardbanging what a very unpleasant thing to say.

Answeringonlyyesorno · 31/05/2019 08:19

Bloody hell guys, I know this is AIBU, but this is someone's real life?!!!

OP, you might have found yourself in a situation you didn't expect but you sound like you're going to cope ok.

PlatoAteMyHamster · 31/05/2019 08:26

It’s great that you would be happy for a second child.

Utterly astounding that someone who has already had a baby can be so clueless as to how it actually works. If you aren’t sure due to the suspected period etc, the internet is a pretty amazing resource to find out information. Probably more sensible to check before having unprotected sex if you are unsure rather than posting on MN about it after the event.

Headboardbanging, what a stupid comment! You clearly have a very twisted mind

StopItandGoToBed · 31/05/2019 08:27

People who make comments like that are generally deeply unhappy individuals with lots of crap in their own lives. It's very sad really.

If you aren’t breastfeeding then your body will think your baby has died
Can you explain?

alislim · 31/05/2019 08:37

VodselForDinner · 31/05/2019 08:42

My friend was pregnant again at her 6 week check-up, then later discovered it was twins. They were delivered at 32 weeks so she had three babies in well under a year.

Myotherbagisgucci · 31/05/2019 08:48

@Purpletigers are you on crack?

There’s 12 months between my ds2 and ds3 and they’re really good friends now. Good luck!

Ps I was exclusively breastfeeding too

Sorry but this is ridiculous? Of course you could be pregnant. Are people really this stupid?

DogsandBoysmeanMud · 31/05/2019 08:52

If you live near Beaconsfield I'll bring you a test!!!

Fakeflowersandlemonade · 31/05/2019 08:55

@headboardbanging I had 2 babies in a year. It was very much planned after the heartache of 2 mc followed by a struggle to conceive and a nightmare pregnancy. We decided to crack on so to speak as we didn’t want a large age gap again (we also have older dc). Strangely it happened straight away with no issues. I was not bored, I was not sick of my Ds we just did not want to wait. 10 years later it was the best thing we ever did. Please don’t judge

holdupwaitamin · 31/05/2019 09:03

Can you just please nip out to the shop for me? Grin
Honestly I don't know how you can wait!

U2HasTheEdge · 31/05/2019 09:08

You've still not said why you weren't using contraception?

Why on earth should she?

Good luck OP.

Pppppppp1234 · 31/05/2019 09:11
