If he's going to face trial over his alleged lies then he shouldn't be able to stand as potential leader of the Tory party.

@familycourtq

has it? have you got a link?

I am no fan of BJ or the Tories, but the fact is he isnt being prosecuted in the traditional sense. This is a private prosecution that has very little basis in fact, and is being brought by a group opposed to his stance on Brexit.
Not quite the same thing as being prosecuted by the crown for fixing an election.
So yabu for that.
And BJ is being unreasonable for being a Tory twat/twit

Face it, B J has a Labrador-like appeal unfortunately. It's unlikely this prosecution will succeed, we'll have to put up with him.

Gth1234 · 07/06/2019 18:32

They announced it on BBC

What it does mean, is that the judiciary is politically motivated, and it shouldn't be. This should have been thrown out.

Now it's time to investigate the APPELLANT!

ForalltheSaints · 07/06/2019 18:50

Boris Johnson is not fit to be Prime Minister in my opinion. The lies on the bus are not the only reason. The most compelling for me is that a Prime Minister has to lead on any decision to send the military into combat, and his lack of grasp of detail demonstrated whilst Foreign Secretary is such that he is not fit to make such a decision.

longwayoff · 08/06/2019 08:15

Just heard someone on radio say BJ proved his worth as Foreign Secretary. He certainly did and that's why he should never be trusted with high office.

Gth1234 · 08/06/2019 10:34

@ForalltheSaints

as opposed to all the MPs who said "vote in the referendum and we will apply your decision", when what they meant was "as long as the vote is to remain".
