Well am I??

She has asked quite a few times but I've always thought she is too young- she is 6 next week- but it turns out a few of her friends watch it and she is feeling left out when they talk about it. They also take the mick cos she likes Fifi.

How many of you let your dc's watch it and do they get scared?

thanks x

I wouldn't let my 6 yr old ds watch it (although he has never asked to), not because I think he would be too scared, but because I think the concepts in it are too adult for him at this age. In that respect it is different from the old Dr Who which I watched as a child (and did watch it at age 6). He is a reasonably bright child, but I still think a lot of the ideas in it are quite adult in an emotional sense, and not sure he would get on with that.

Ithink it might be an idea for me to watch a couple of episodes without her first.

I've never gotten into dr who but I do have vague memories of Sylvester Mccoy and Bonnie langford -maybe not together, really can't remember- and cyber men and not being scared, I must have been about 7 or 8.

What are the Sarah Jane Adventures? I have visions of her from Tikkabilla being chased by daleks...

Please exterminate her

lots of 8 year olds do seem to watch it and love it, lips, but it gives my 8 year old nightmares of screaming ad dab proportions. Depends on your child

My dd's watch it, dd1 is 7 and dd2 is 5. dd2 doesn't really like tv much so usually ends up playing after the first 10 minutes.

My DD is 2 years old and she loves it LOL
My DD has no fear! ROCK ON!! LOL

Ooh am I bad mum? LOL
I'm sure I'll re-think this when she's a bit older but ATM scary jumpy horror things just don't scare her, she squeals every time the music starts!
(BTW it's the only program she watches on a Saturday for all those with the whole "your child's brain will rot" fear)

My 4 year old loves it and has taken to singing in the street
Here come the drums! ( here come the drums here come the drums ) baby baby baby - you are my boo boo chow, my boo boo chow.
Ds1 thinks its hilarious.
