To ask for any ghost or scary stories

Happy bank holiday weekend mumsnet

Just wanting to see if anyone has any scary ghost stories to share or any scary situation stories.

Had my DN stay last week she is 3 almost 4 she was sat talking away to herself i said who are you talking to she said the lady that lives upstairs she's very nice and has asked what i am having to eat for my lunch. Every hair on my body stood on end.

Me an DH and my DSS have always said our house has a strange feeling especially in the one room. After talking to out NDN a few years back he said the elderly couple that lived here before both died in the back bedroom that is the room that makes you feel like you are being watched.

We've had a few strange things happen but never anything terrifying or anything bad. We've had the spare bedroom light repeatedly turn on throughout the night before only on one occasion, my DSS's and friend can charging downstairs a few years back hysterical saying their body spray just started spraying by itself whilst it was on the shelf and no one was near it. They wouldn't sleep upstairs for a week after.

At least my DN said she's a very nice lady if she said she was nasty i think I'd of left home

Our house has had a lot of strange things happen. I build model tanks, and was working on one at the table one afternoon. I put a piece down, looked again and it was gone. Vanished. I searched and searched but it had gone. About the same time, one of my DP’s books also inexplicably, vanished despite a thorough search. Fast forward a couple of weeks, DP had the table cleared for a sewing project. She was hanging out washing, and had a strong feeling she wasn’t alone. She said out loud ‘if you’re the one who’s moved our stuff, you can put it back right now.’ She went in the house, and the piece of tank was sitting in the middle of the empty table. The shelves had changed- she looked, and her book was sitting on the top of the shelves. It’s happened since- stuff disappearing and reappearing in strange places. DP’s work keys went missing from the key hook one day, and it caused great strife at work. Some time later, we were clearing under the stairs. She picked up a long unused and fastened closed rucksack, which jingled. She opened the bag (2 fastenings), and the keys were inside.
We found a Star Wars toy on the landing one day when we came in from shopping. I love Star Wars but don’t own any toys, yet there it was on the landing. DP found a loom band bracelet on her pillow one day as well. We lost a baby about three years before theses things began. Children that age love to fiddle, and hide stuff. They also bring presents and make stuff. You can’t help thinking, can you?

One of my jobs was a reseidential unit in a house. There were a few incidents in a couple of the rooms. One night I was sleeping when something tugged my cover and smacked me on the back! Another time i felt something blow on my face. One room in particular was always freezing cold even in the summer. No amount of heating could warm it up. Myself and a colleague were watching the cameras once and we saw these small white lights moving but when we went upstairs there was nothing. Another colleague said she heard a voices hissing at her and she was so terrified and shaken up. Another colleague said that she woke up and saw a pillow hovering above her almost like it was trying to smother her! We never got to the bottom of it but I'm convinced something unpleasant lurked in those two rooms
