Currently 'job role'. Everyone suddenly seems to be saying it and I don't get it. It feels really affected and to my mind one of the words will always be superfluous, whatever the sentence is.

Boyfriend - it made me feel like a teenager, so I used partner instead. Apparently that should only be used when couples are at least living together I still use partner instead of fiancé now we are engaged, live together, and have 2 children.
