Buggeredpelvicfloor2013 · 25/05/2019 16:46

Moist, c**t, pop (as in just pop over), cheeky (as in have a cheeky drink 😳), bae , prinny, eurgh there's loads I hate depending what context they are said in.

Buggeredpelvicfloor2013 · 25/05/2019 16:47

Oh and edit instead of edition. Does edition really need shortening??

DarlingCoffee · 25/05/2019 17:10

Partner and nom. Is nom even a word?

MyGastIsFlabbered · 25/05/2019 20:01

I have a real problem with the word broth

furrybadger · 25/05/2019 20:02

Clout and moist 🤮😂

DesertSky · 25/05/2019 20:05

Holibobs
Squids (name for kids)
Hubster
The c word

DesertSky · 25/05/2019 20:08

Pk37

Pack-up really irritates me too for some reason!

Ameanstreakamilewide · 25/05/2019 20:12

I can't explain it, but i can't be doing with the word 'explore'.

It makes me feel a bit sick.🤢

escapade1234 · 25/05/2019 20:16

This isn’t something people write rather than say.

Loose when they mean lose.

It’s not hard. How do people make it to adulthood not knowing or ever being told they are using the wrong word.

escapade1234 · 25/05/2019 20:16

Is something they write, I mean.

IsoscelesSandwich · 25/05/2019 20:34

Veg. It’s vegetables.
And some cheats because they’re two words:
Pack up
Little family

bobstersmum · 25/05/2019 20:35

Not just one word but more a phrase but it really makes me cringe- making memories!

Famalam is a stupid word.

Pussy is just horrible.

And totes.

GrannyHaddock · 25/05/2019 20:40

I was going to say moist and gusset but pps got there before me on page 1.

limpingparrot · 25/05/2019 20:47

Veg
Toms (tomatoes)
Yummy
I should probably stop reading food threads.

missmouse101 · 25/05/2019 21:58

Literally.

Glitterblue · 25/05/2019 22:29

Meal
Rotten
Crimbo
Hubby
Famalam
Hollibobs

Neron · 25/05/2019 22:33

Girth.

DH says it and it makes me irrationally angry

ParmaViolet44 · 25/05/2019 22:59

Can't stand it when magazines show a photo of something/someone described as "bang on trend" (ok that's 3 words). Makes me literally want to staple someone in the face.

And headlines with THAT in capitals. E.g. Sean and Katya talk about THAT kiss....😡

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 25/05/2019 23:01

My ex used to use "uncouth" but not in the right context. So now it annoys me because it reminds me of him.

BrylcreamBeret · 25/05/2019 23:04

Culottes 😬

Stopittt79 · 25/05/2019 23:24

I hate it when you go to a seminar in a big building with lots of people and at the beginning the speaker makes reference to 'housekeeping', ffs just say the toilets

Also really dislike 'bake off' as in, 'I'm just going to bake these cakes off'

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 25/05/2019 23:32

Loose when they mean lose.

It’s not hard. How do people make it to adulthood not knowing or ever being told they are using the wrong word.

Baffles me too. I'm sure they know the meaning of both words perfectly well - it's just that, when they come to write it down, they just don't know which one to chose Grin Grin Grin

Stopittt79 · 25/05/2019 23:34

I also HATE 'I've a lot to do' 'have you any bread?' Yes alright I know it's grammatically correct but it gets on my nerves

ByeGermsByeWorries · 25/05/2019 23:46

"Bits & pits" Blush

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 25/05/2019 23:49

Wet boak. bits and pits🤮
Bubbly either to mean personality or alcoholic drink
