Is this garden too much for me?

I've found my dream home but it has a rather large walled garden. Being a complete townie I've never done any gardening in my life so my OH thinks it will be too much for me . All I can see is lawn to be trimmed and bushes to be cut but am I missing something? I really want to go and view the house but my husband is refusing even though he loves it too as he thinks it will all end up on his chore list!!
Please tell me if I'm being too unrealistic?

I am considering moving to wherever the hell that house is and gazumping you though......

Save the arguments and get a gardener in. It may already be professionally maintained, ring the estate agent and see what the vendor has to say. I viewed a house with a rather daunting hedge, the vendor provided receipts from the gardener she used as reassurance that it wasn't going to break our backs or bank balance keeping it under control.

Turn the lawn into a wildflower meadow and plants some trees for an orchard. Fantastic.

OMG yes do this!

You could always buy a goat

No, alpacas!

We've got a robot mower. Our lawn is totally maintainance free. You might need a couple in that garden - but they would make the garden very little work for you.

Gorgeous property! Garden is big but looks low maintenance - I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

That is a bargain!!! It looks amazing. Snap it up before someone else does. ❤️

Room for chickens too .

allworkandnopay · 22/05/2019 17:28

thank you all ! chickens, Alpacas, ride on mowers....the possibilities are endless. I will let you all know how I get on!
To those of you living down south Im sorry to have teased you with reasonable prices, but I do miss London too so you can never have it all!!
