Too big for pampers premium

Our boys now in size 7. Pampered premium were great but he’s now too big. We have tried the ultra dry and they’re almost falling apart after a nights sleep. They also seem to be irritating him.

What’s the best sensitive nappy with good protection for size 7 plus?

I’m sure they think they stop growing at size 6

Of course nappy size affect absorbency! The bigger nappies would have a larger absorbent element??

Pampers do a size 8.

Pampers tend to run smaller than supermarket size, you might be fine in a 6 supermarket (I use Liddl's and have previously used Sainsbury's). The plus sizes aren't larger, they are just more absorbant. Pull ups tend to run a bit smaller than regular nappies.
So perhaps try a size 6 supermarket nappy?

by plus sizes I mean 6+ isn't larger than 6 but has extra absorbency.
