Bloody football

My DH is really down in the dumps after the result yesterday. He had to go out for a walk to 'clear his head' last night. He's in such a mood. When he got in yesterday our DS was trying to tell him about our day and he could barely look at him and when he did he looked so sad, he was so miserable. I am dreading 1st June. The last time he was like this was when Stevie G fell over, I think he was in a mood for a whole bloody month.

I understand he loves the team, I understand all the hype, but for it to affect him so much is unbelievable. His colleague had to take a days emergency leave today!!!!

I had to ask him to be happy when he got in because I was not having him being moody again and creating an atmosphere.

Normally he is a wonderful husband and father!

Prepared to be told IABU

MallySally

Yes, it’s real. I see it as a mirror that happens to have a Liverbird etched onto it and the kids wave to themselves as they come down the stairs, they don’t take any notice.
OH has more Liverpool shirts than I have clothes. But there’s one persons life and there’s another’s!

I could never marry a manchild like that.

Liverpool fans really are the gift that keeps on giving

"Liverpool fans"? Try fans of most premier league teams. Trust me, I live in Manchester. Grin

Not all football supporters react as badly to a very good season as the ops husband.
Liverpool finished just second to an excellent Manchester City.
How would he face relegation I wonder. Sulk for months.
We drove home from Manchester with children happy to see a last day of the season win.

Football is the religion of men of this country. Ive never seen an English man get so passionate about something. Kind of sad really, it's just a game ?

SimplySteveRedux · 15/05/2019 07:52

Oh it's far more than just a game.
