...when they are asking a fortune for a load of shite?

Or posting a picture of a grotty item and saying "need gone. Could do with a clean."

Or asking £1 less than what they actually sell for, brand new.

I really want to type "LOL, fuck off!" On them.

But I can't because im a total wuss and I care what people think of me. Fuck sake.

I work at the local hospital and I’ve found people on Facebook selling equipment they’ve clearly nicked from us. It even still has the name of the ward in permanent marker written down the side.

Actually it really irritated me as a hospital grade fetal heart doppler costs several hundred pounds. They were advertising it for a tenner and someone commented underneath offering a fiver and they accepted 🤨 I then messaged to say I could tell it had been stolen so either they let me go and pick it up so I could return it or I’d pass the screenshots on to the police.

Tea Shock I've heard of people selling on things that they've been given, but stealing from a hospital?!

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 14/05/2019 09:02

This person has been trying to sell this phone for almost 3w...it started off at £300

£300?!

For a iPhone 6 that’s more cracks then screen!

I’ve just seen a cracker on fb...opportunity to win a stunning (used) wedding dress for £35...once I get 50 entries I will draw the winner. £1750 for a used wedding dress. She has to be having a laugh 😂

There's one on out local page who does raffle/bonus ball/draw things for kids stuff. Usually about a max £40 worth of Lol shite. She sells 100 entries at £5 a pop. At least three or four times a week.

Same with GHD straighteners. People pay £10 a time to be in with a chance. Some of them have bought so many tickets they could own about 5 pairs by now.

cakecakecheese · 14/05/2019 12:58

I had a table that was a pile of crap. I put it on an FB site for free saying 'this table is a pile of crap' so at least I was honest Grin and I did wipe it down before taking a photo! Someone did take it, people love a freebie I suppose.

Someone was asking for the Pinch of Nom cookbook 'that you no longer use' it hasn't even been out that long has it? How defeatist would that be to give up already?! Someone helpfully pointed out that Amazon sell them.

IDontDrinkTea · 14/05/2019 13:03

Hippo you’d be surprised how much stuff people steal from hospitals. Thermometers and fetal heart dopplers are the biggest problem. But we also lose a lot of radios and speakers. At one point the hospital charity bought a whole box of phone chargers so patients could charge up mobile phones. The whole box was gone in a month, despite the fact the all carried a massive tag saying they were the property of the postnatal ward

minisoksmakehardwork · 16/05/2019 09:14

Today's cf post is someone offering trees for wood. Free. They are very tall conifer types, in a narrow garden so I understand why they want them gone.

The catch is you must cut them down yourself. So tempting to comment pay for a tree surgeon you CF's.

EllenRachel · 16/05/2019 11:20

I saw someone selling an echo dot new - but for £10 more than on amazon. Someone called her out on it and she said she had paid more than that before it was in the sale so she wanted more!

'nerds gone' is in need of a verb
