DH is away for 4 days, as is DD2 so it's just me and the dogs.

I'm watching a film with the heating on full blast, the dogs curled up on the sofa and have got a nice hot cup of tea.

Bliss. I may just sit here all weekend.

PS. On the Question of Sport point, AIBU unreasonable to say I loathe Matt Dawson? He's just so cocky and irritating. I may have to look at more handbags to try and ignore him.

I have been ironing taking a bit of a break. DH is upstairs watching a youtube video on water colour painting.. dd1 on her computer home after a week practice as a teacher (at uni year 2) looking exhausted and very much like she needs " mummying/daddying" DS made food for us all (burgers) with DD3's help who did the salsa and the calamari.. DD2 is out having a LIFE!..

He's on his way to his mum's for the weekend. I've got an industrial strength hair masque on and I'm embroidering. As I have the bed to myself I'll be heading into it at about 9.30 to make the most of it.

How do I stand the excitement?

DH is at work and I am already in bed eating a share bag of revels with DCat next to me...not sure I can contain myself

In bed, dressing gown over clothes, drinking wine (boxed wine no less!) feeling drowsy. DH away and DC both in bed.

DH is stroking the cat and I am eating chocolate buttons. Life is good.

Still at work, unfortunately, but I'm four hours behind most of you. Four hours hence if I'm lucky I'll get a cat snuggle and watch something good on Netflix.

Phew .... feeling relieved that it’s not just me/us having a riotous time.

Me, OH and the dog slobbing about on the bed with a glass of wine (not the dog, obvs ..... he’s on beer ...... only kidding!) and either messing with iPads or talking about whether we should buy a caravan..

The excitement is palpable ..... not!!!!!

dp went to bed at 7 said he was tired out and his diabetes was playing up again dogs keep barking as next door arguing again trying to keep them quiet im just sat here on MN and checking emails so rock and roll my life oh yes and my cankles are killing me after a busy day at work

I’m in the sofa with wine and MN. DH has just gone to bed, he’s had a crappy week at work and we have a big party tomorrow night. Both DC are asleep: DS1 wore himself out trying new gel-assisted hairstyles then had to have a shower to wash it all out. DS2 was sorting his stamp collection :-)

To be fair I had to fast all day for hospital tests and scans this afternoon so am enjoying chilling now in peace

I'm in my pyjamas, knitting and watching 'Gardeners' World' - I know how to have a good time on a Friday night!

I blame line of duty.. it all started when he went on twitter to look up all the vocab.. and then started reading all the comments on the show.. hmm.

Well, it was meant to be me and the 2 dc chilling with popcorn but they decided they wanted their dad so son rang him and they are at his now. I should be productive and tidy my house but I'm on here and watching Jane the Virgin on Netflix

I get especially wound up by how dull my evenings are at this time of year. BC I would have been out enjoying every last fading bit of daylight; AC, and tonight I found myself wondering at what age they can put themselves to bed so I have my evenings back. I came to the conclusion that I will have missed almost a decade of summer evenings before I can join in again.

The in-laws drove past earlier as they were picking up friends who live on our street, off on their night out. I had to give my head a wobble at the envy I felt; they've done their time.

I'm in bed (fresh bed linen - bliss) on my laptop and DH is downstairs watching Big Bang Theory. We had a glass of wine and watched episode 4 of Lucifer earlier.
