To think Radio 5 host Danny Baker cannot stay at the BBC?

When people say they don't see colour or race I'm afraid i just don't believe them.

The fact that they feel the need to say it all makes me think the opposite of them.

Bollocks wouldn't it. I was brought up with the chimps tea parties etc and yes at the time thought nothing of racism. But times have changed there's no way on earth he didn't know exactly what he was doing, all for a 'joke' and to get the admiration of the racist lowlives that lurk online. He thought it was so funny he couldn't resist.

I'd forgotten he was a Millwall fan. I grew up in Lewisham in the 80's and their fans had a horrendous reputation for racism and violence. I wasn't into football but you knew to keep well away when they were around if you weren't white. The club had to do an absolute ton of work on racial awareness to improve their image. There is no way he as a broadcaster and a Millwall fan would not be aware of the connotations.

It's good that he's gone.

However, the BBC still have Nigel Farage on QT tonight and every other week so it can hardly stake a claim to being unequivocal about racism...

Even if he was so staggeringly naive that he didn't consider his actions racist, he was deeply unpleasant and nasty.
His seeking to minimise his actions rather than issue an immediate apology speaks volume.
He's obviously an arrogant arsehole.

‘I don’t see colour just people’ is a load of balls! Everyone sees colour, but you can see colour and not be racist. It’s really easy to not be racist I find.

It took me a few looks at the picture to work out why it was "racist". I don't think about a person's racial heritage often.
well im white and it took me 1 look to work out he is racist
