She won't have time soon to spray everything in sight with numerous chemicals? With a baby to look after she won't want to, or even have time to do this with a new born?

OP posts:
adviceneedesprettyplease · 05/05/2019 18:49

Nothing she does is about cleaning . The s

LimeKiwi · 05/05/2019 18:49

Is that in response to me? What are you even referring to? The sum total of her posts in hospital was literally about two or three - of stuff like pretending to be asleep when the nurses came round and her husband pushing her around the corridors!
You sound like you've just got a problem altogether with her and don't actually know what you're talking about.

adviceneedesprettyplease · 05/05/2019 18:50

Nothing she does is about cleaning the sooner people realise that the sooner it will be better for them .

I used to be brain washed by it all then I seen sense

Sparklingbrook · 05/05/2019 18:52

Nothing she does is about cleaning

Except all the cleaning stuff she does. Grin

Hollowvictory · 05/05/2019 18:53

^what does this mean? Everything she does is about cleaning, or her dog. Where's the brainwashing?

LimeKiwi · 05/05/2019 18:54

Nothing she does is about cleaning

Well duh.Hmm
She's a woman on IG with an IG people like to follow and she's decided to make the most of it.
Bloody good on her. I would too in her shoes.

YABU to assume that when someone is an “influencer,” their every move isn’t planned, especially as my understanding is that she used to be a marketing executive (there’s a profile still on LinkedIn under her maiden name and screenshots of it are online - no idea what the deal is with saying she was “just a hairdresser,” if that was a hobby or PT work or is just BS, shrug).

Note that she blew up fame-wise, and there was the wedding which kept people interested, and once the wedding was gone, here comes the book, and once the book was out, here comes the baby in just enough time to peak interest again. A baby for most influencers is considered a provider of content, not a burden. Suddenly they’ve got a whole new target market and world of products they can endorse. For example, there’s baby products, post-baby body (usually a huge thing on Instagram), the struggles of motherhood and products to make it “easier,” self-care products to ease the motherhood stress, and then the cleaning she was already known for her. I suspect you’ll see some combo of all of these and can probably play bingo with it. She’s probably been having meetings (she’s managed by an international company - she doesn’t just do this on her own) or just making notes about how to market the baby and herself as a new mother since before her first scan as that seems to be the norm for mommy blogger marketing.
(I’m a ghostwriter. I’ll write anything for enough £, specialize in medical, but I wrote in online marketing for a while and behind the scenes, the “cutest” accounts can be the most mercenary due to the competition being so cutthroat).

To answer your question by actual metrics, no, she hasn’t peaked yet. According to SocialBlade, she’s still gaining followers at a steady rate and has an A- grade so advertisers will still be onto her and the baby will no doubt raise her higher. Her account got a huge boost in followers when she went into hospital, so I imagine she hasn’t shared WHY exactly she was in hospital as she’s waiting to sell it as a cover story exclusive to some magazine. Then I’d expect her to publish a second book after baby.

LimeKiwi · 05/05/2019 18:55

@Hollowictory I swear some of these comments just get batshittier Grin
Brainwashing, FFS. Grown ass people can follow and like who they like.

ohdearymeehee · 05/05/2019 18:56

@RightYesButNo totally agree with you.

I was just about to say I think she will sell the story to the papers

Sagradafamiliar · 05/05/2019 18:57

I thought everyone knew that using IG was part of a business model and about advertisement. It's amusing when some people finally realise and then get angry they've been 'duped'.

PookieDo · 05/05/2019 18:59

Yeah I don’t know what people think IG is for anymore 😂

Wheresmyvagina · 05/05/2019 19:04

So WHAT if she uses Instagram to make her living. Obviously she's good at it, hence having 2 million followers. And so what? She's pushing cheap cleaning products and random £20 eBay home tat. Why people act like a)she's employing evil mind control or b) it's morally wrong to make a living from social media I don't understand. Instagrammer and youtuber are actual careers now! They won't be in 10 years time but so what?

LimeKiwi · 05/05/2019 19:07

Hear hear, Where's

CleopatraComingAtcha · 05/05/2019 19:07

Has she had a TV show yet? That's the test for an Instagrammer making the leap to the mainstream. Like that shouty Joe Wicks bloke.

CleopatraComingAtcha · 05/05/2019 19:10

Those Hemsley sisters had a show on Channel 4 after becoming major figures in the 'clean eating' craze. Only had the one series so assume they didn't connect with the public. It was total guff though.

ClashCityRocker · 05/05/2019 19:39

Does her husband help with all this cleaning? I just can't imagine a bloke devoting time to watching how best to clean the house. Of course, a basic level of hygiene and cleanliness is important. It just seems like The Goode Huswyfe for the 21st century... Although I may be doing her a disservice as I don't actively follow her and have only seen bits. Would be interested to know.

LimeKiwi · 05/05/2019 19:40

Does her husband help with all the cleaning
Yes, he regularly does and did whilst she was in hospital too.

DontVisitMe · 05/05/2019 19:45

Why do people say they've "fallen into the Hinch trap" of spending loads of money every week on cleaning products?

Surely you have your own mind? Surely you know what you need and don't need and how much money you have? Do you turn your TV off when the ads come on? Close your eyes when you pass a billboard?

Felicia4 · 05/05/2019 19:46

Like it or not she has built her brand and is marketing it in a way that clearly works. I don't follow her but I wish her all the success in whatever she chooses to do when she has her baby.
Women go on about feminism and women empowerment, but are the first to tear another woman down because she is different or does things in a different way. It's absolutely disgusting and I hope for all the negativity that is spewed at women by other women, karma gives them ten times the positivity and success.

Hollowvictory · 05/05/2019 20:33

Zoflora is 99p.
Not seeing where loads 9f money comes into it.
Yes her dh cleans.

HeavenlyEyes · 05/05/2019 20:46

I think all the undisclosed ads, gifts and numerous swipe ups will mean the ASA will shut her down soon anyway?I think pretending to be everyone's friend while you make so much profit from them is all a bit insidious.

She is paid by lots of companies to use their products and all of these partnerships are not disclosed.

Also fed up of the environmental impact of all the chemicals literally just poured down the drain.

LimeKiwi · 05/05/2019 21:03

Do people moaning actually follow her stories? She does clearly mark everything gifted or an ad Confused

HeavenlyEyes · 05/05/2019 21:07

No she really doesn't. Did you know she has been paid by Proctor and Gamble to use their products. None of those stories have been marked ad at all. And that is just 1 company.

SherlockSays · 05/05/2019 21:10

I have a 9 month old, my house and life hasn't spiralled into shit because of her. I've still kept on top of cleaning, cooking and degree study. I'm also now back at work 4 days a week too.

Newborns do not take ALL your time up, they sleep a hell of a lot compared to the older months. Yes it's harder, but there's still plenty of spare time. Hmm

LimeKiwi · 05/05/2019 21:10

So now she's a Proctor and Gamble plant.
FFS. Hmm
