Hi, I've had two scans and can't see a nub so I was wondering if you ladies could have a nose and also a guess and maybe explain your guess (don't want much do I ?! 😳🙄) Thank you 🙂

The scans were amazing, it was a much more powerful machine than with DS1. We saw cross sections of the brain and organs, a birds eye view and side-on. It was incredible

I know what you mean. To see so much detail too, ahh I'm in love! I felt much more emotion than with DS1, possibly as I've had 3 m/Cs in between. I was dated at 13 weeks so a bit further along than I'd calculated. How about you?

@LittleAndOften I'm very sorry to hear that. Yes I'd gladly volunteer to be on my back all day (make of that what you will). I'm 14+3 but they keep adding /taking away a day or two when they measure which is about 2-3 times per scan ! We're finding out in a fortnight. Are you finding out?? Xx

Well the sonographer reckons it's a boy! DS1 has quite a big uh... appendage (!) and it looks very much like his little brother has too. You can't really see from the pics, it was more obvious during the actual scan
In this picture you can actually see the face and it looks just like DS when he's asleep! Incredible. When's your due date? We're now on 8th Nov.

Oh god sorry, I really am crap at guessing/ seeing, hence the thread. Ours is due on Halloween hence the cigar 😂😂. It's crazy how they look alike so soon isn't it !!!! Xx

Haha no offence taken, you really can't tell from the pictures! Halloween that's so exciting. I assume you'll go to hospital in full fancy dress and replace the birthing pool with a cauldron?

I've never seen a nub, in all my own kids scan photos I've never identified a nub. But late scans were very indicative. Specially when my eldest did a somersault and we were faced with what looked like two tiny chipolatas facing together. Didn't eat chipolatas again for a while.

I'm guessing girl. 80% of the time I'm right every time.

I have no idea how you identify a nub?

My ds' scan couldn't have been a surprise if I'd wanted it to. His willy was sticking out and waving hello.

I think boy. I was talking to a student midwife who said that the nub theory was a load of rubbish but on some scans you can see the formation of the genitals beginning, which is 2 lines for a boy and 3 lines for a girl. She wouldn't point out exactly where on mine, as she was trying to be discreet and not tell me what she thought (I'm not finding out but happy for guesses!) but I'm pretty sure I can see 2 white lines which look in the right place on pictures 5&6 of yours. They are farther apart than I expected though!
