Where do you spend your money?

I always wonder what people spend their money on especially in relation to your salary.

I never buy clothes unless necessary in which case I spend only at ASOS sales or Primark. I am very tight. I try to always take in a packed lunch (I work in London so this is hard!), try not to eat out at restaurants unless it's a birthday, I don't have children just one dog so spend on insurance. Every other penny I try to put towards travelling as this is my favourite thing. I don't have a car but I am about to change this as it's getting a bit annoying.

So where do you spend yours and what would you not go without spending on?

Holidays. Commuting. Bicycles. Fitness. White goods. Teenagers. Gadgets.

Tuition! By FAR the largest expense we have currently!

Food shopping (Tesco, Home Bargains, Iceland)
Fuel for house & car and other general household running costs that we keep as little as possible
Servicing debts (loan, credit card, overdraft, car finance)

We rarely go out for daytrips, meals out or anything like that and only buy clothes or shoes when someone is in desperate need for them, and even then we get them from Asda, Tesco or a discount store. We live as frugally as we can because we're skint!

We spend it on experiences not material stuff. When I look at my bank statement, apart from basic bills and food it is all music lessons, trips away, days out, theatre tickets etc. It's never trips to B&Q or clothes shops. The house is scruffy and so are we, but we do go out and have a good time a lot.

Family days out and kids extra curricular activities. Rarely eat out or buy coffee, I resent how overpriced it is. For myself I pay to be in two choirs because I love it. Should really drop one and spend the difference on a weekly fitness class but I don't want to.

Hardly ever buy myself clothes, kids only when necessary. Most money seems to go on the house and car (repairs, replacing broken or knackered things etc).
