Is steak better rare or medium rare

I had a heated debate with my dh if steak is better rare or medium rare. What do you prefer?

It's personal preference. And very subjective because one chef's medium rare is another chef's medium, for example. I've noticed that every butcher I've ever eaten steak with has ordered well done.....

If it's dead, it's done.

Medium to medium rare for me, DH likes his rare, DC like it well done.

Rare as a rare thing.

Used to like it well done when I was younger and would happily eat well done now.
However as long as it’s not bleeding I’ll eat it

I like medium rare, I only bother with rump though lol it’s my fave

Seriously though, however you like it best is fine.
