Made for my ds1's girlfriend, to a set of insanely specific specifications from perfectionist Aspie ds1! Includes a miniature of her house from a blurry photo Grin

Now to work out how to transport it 20 miles on the train and up the hill to her house...

That's amazing! Hope she loves it. :)

TillyTheTiger · 26/04/2019 20:35

That's gorgeous. As for transport, if you go with the bucket/deep cake box idea, assuming the lid is flat then put the cake on the inside of the lid with the bucket/box fastened over the top to protect it, and hold it underneath. Then when you get there you can just lift the box off and you don't risk damaging the cake trying to lift it out of a deep container.

Really gorgeous!

Greensleeves · 26/04/2019 22:24

We took @handslikecowstits advice and paid for a taxi, I just couldn't cope with bouncing it around in a bucket on the train! It survived intact and ds1's girlfriend LOVES it :)

LadyBrienneofTarth · 26/04/2019 22:30

So beautiful - I wish I lived near you - I would pay you for something like that for my daughter - do you do it professionally ?

Greensleeves · 26/04/2019 22:36

No, I just do cakes for family and friends when they ask me Grin have thought about giving it a go professionally but been daunted by the registering and elf and safety stuff!

I can see why you're proud, what a brilliant cake.

How lovely are you to have made that for your sons girlfriend Smile

Cryalot2 · 26/04/2019 22:49

Beautiful. You are so talented .
How do you transport it? With great care and difficulty .
Have you a tuberware box of that size ?
Failing that on a tray with the top tented with tinfoil .Then place in a bag or small suitcase and carry with the cake facing right way up in your arms even it means you nurse the case.
Best wishes travelling .
