At a local cafe with DS, who is asleep. Actually irrelevant really because this would be annoying even without him. There are THE MOST OBNOXIOUS adults on the next table. Sitting with their trainers on the seat, talking about wanting to “bang their students” (they are teachers). 2 women 1 man - laughing SO SO SO LOUDLY, practically yelling. Showing eAch other photos they take of members of the unsuspecting public. It is literally so unpleasant and I can’t not hear because they are YELLING. This is my local cafe, I know the owner very well but it’s his day off, and even just seeing her with her shoes on the bloody cushions is making me so annoyed. Why can’t adurls behave?! It’s like a bunch of teenagers! WIBU to say something?! (Probably yes)

@DustyDustyKeyboard sorry I posted without finishing my comment! Meant to add that I have friends who are still on holidays and loving every precious moment, honest but we’re back so the teachers could be back at school/college or I guess catching up before term starts? Or as suggested they’re total liars bigging themselves up ...

whohaa · 25/04/2019 12:28

They could be driving instructors, football coaches, holiday club leaders etc. There's no guarantee they are actually teachers.

Cbatothinkofaname · 25/04/2019 12:28

Highly doubt they’re teachers... sound like a couple of young idiots bragging about shit that’s never happened

Cbatothinkofaname · 25/04/2019 12:28

Not that it excuses the annoying loudness though.

brizzlemint · 25/04/2019 12:29

Possibly. I hear there are always a few on each course, and they don't last long

I doubt they'd get to this late point in the course assuming a PGCE - they'd be just starting their final teaching practice.

AwdBovril · 25/04/2019 12:30

Easter break here too.

DustyDustyKeyboard · 25/04/2019 12:31

brizzlemint You're probably right!

ByeByeBirdi · 25/04/2019 12:34

Its Easter holidays here in the midlands

S1naidSucks · 25/04/2019 12:36

If they are teachers then I'm a fucktard.

Did you actually mean to use a shortened version of the insult fucking retard?

Total lowlifes treating the cafe like there home. Probably just got there dole money !!!! Or possibly two ignorant people taking a break from their work/studying.

InadvertentlyBrilliant · 25/04/2019 12:38

Record their conversation on your phone and when either you or they are about to leave, take a photo of the unsuspecting bunch.
Tell them you've recorded everything they've said and are going to report them to the school/college, local newspaper and police. That'll put the fear of God up them.

If you manage to record anything really incriminating then do actually report it. How appalling that they regard children or young adults in this way.

ParmaHamAndMozzarella · 25/04/2019 12:45

My friend is a teacher, they are still on Easter holidays this week (midlands) so it is possible they are high school or college teachers.

liquidfootball · 25/04/2019 12:46

I can believe that they are either teachers or LSA's as I've come across that kind of behaviour once or twice. It's rare but there are some awful teachers about - often working for agencies.

1Wildheartsease · 25/04/2019 12:48

They sound like students rather than teachers! Clearly they have no experience of meeting parents/students in the outside world yet.
(Not all make it to the profession - fortunately.)

gettofuckthrees · 25/04/2019 12:50

Surreptitiously record or photograph them
Don't be aggressive but ask them where they work/study if they are
Students
Report them - the school/uni will be able to identify them.

If they are not forthcoming with information name and shame on sm

gettofuckthrees · 25/04/2019 12:51

Crosspost sorry @InadvertentlyBrilliant Smile great minds!

ReanimatedSGB · 25/04/2019 13:32

Tell them to shut up by all means. But don't be one of those poxy tattletales who goes out of their way to cause trouble for random strangers - and bear in mind that if you take photographs of them (no matter what they have talked about doing) and they object, you will be the one in the wrong.

crispysausagerolls · 25/04/2019 13:55

They were late 30s/40s

Even the parts not about the students were vile.

I don’t even know what to say - I am very annoyed that they left before I saw the post suggesting what to say eg about the little sister.

After they left the mother at the next table with her young son and I were discussing it and she was equally appalled/horrified so I was very glad to know it wasn’t just me!

OP posts:
strawberrisc · 25/04/2019 13:59

I’d be tempted to say to the man, “I know you, don’t I? My younger sister is at your school.”

Don't do this in case they work in an all boy's school...unless their conversation makes it clear they don't!

jimmyhill · 25/04/2019 14:02

bear in mind that if you take photographs of them (no matter what they have talked about doing) and they object, you will be the one in the wrong.

Why?

Pengrin · 25/04/2019 14:02

Does the café have CCTV? Is it worth reporting them via their images to the LA?

Shock it’s a private conversation had between adults.

The OP is guessing that they’re teachers and even if they are, it is a private conversation had out of work whilst wearing/showing nothing that relates to their work.

This is ridiculous.

Move if you don’t like what you’re listening to.

crispysausagerolls · 25/04/2019 14:02

I’m bemused that people would think I was making it up TBH

OP posts:
crispysausagerolls · 25/04/2019 14:06

bear in mind that if you take photographs of them (no matter what they have talked about doing) and they object, you will be the one in the wrong.

Like how the man was talking about all the photos he took of unwitting strangers who he thought looked like famous people as some sort of joke?

I am not usually someone who thinks it’s fine to police other people like this, but a man simulating sex in a cafe in the middle of the day, and being SO sexist and unpleasant...horrible. And the student comments. Ugh.

OP posts:
crispysausagerolls · 25/04/2019 14:09

Although the other mother at the cafe thought she heard a school name mentioned but it’s a prep school and the guy was saying something about age 15/16/17 so I am not sure it’s where he works

OP posts:
recrudescence · 25/04/2019 14:17

I don’t think the advice to record/video/photograph them was very wise. People as unpleasant as this might react violently. Safety first.

CoraPirbright · 25/04/2019 14:38

Do you think they might be regulars at the cafe? Perhaps the owner/people working there might know who they are and where they work?
