A reality TV star sold me fake Louis Vuitton purses

So I regularly go to a certain bootsale. I recognised one of the stall holders from TV. She was selling lots of name brand stuff and I spotted 2 LV purses, I asked her if they were real, she said yes. I thought because of who she was I'd trust her. Got home and cross checked the purses, turns out their fake. I mean it's not so much the money, it's the principal! I would have thought someone like her would have been trustworthy. I emailed her press management listed on her page, they've emailed me back stating they will process a refund. AIBU to be so annoyed?

How much were they? If they were dirt cheap then I wouldn’t be as bothered but if I had spent a lot I would be annoyed

IvanaPee · 24/04/2019 15:26

Fair point about the MIC crew not knowing about a car boot 😂

higgyhog · 24/04/2019 15:27

Are you sure she was real and not a lookie likey?

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 24/04/2019 15:28

"wealthy family"....hmm...im guessing Jessica Wright

DameDoom · 24/04/2019 15:29

IvanaPee · 24/04/2019 15:31

IceIceCoffee · 24/04/2019 15:32

Chelsee Healy. She looks the type.

RumerGodden · 24/04/2019 15:36

Big brands take sale of counterfeit seriously...you can get pinged by undercover brand agents and threatened with legal action for trying to sell fakes at carboot sales...dob her in!

A journo will be over soon to pick up the story- we'll get to hear about in the gossip column soon.

Aprillygirl · 24/04/2019 15:44

It's probably that bulldog-chewing-a-wasp gemma collins

Why the need for personal insults?

I'm surprised a wealthy person would be flogging their unwanted stuff at a bootsale, let alone fake shit. So who was it OP one of the Faier sisters maybe?

Lweji · 24/04/2019 15:45

Why would you trust any reality TV show star? Their principal principle can't be truth. Or reality, for that matter.

LittleMissHappy19 · 24/04/2019 15:48

OP just say the name! It's not fair..
Why wouldn't you out someone selling fakes as the real deal..it's illegal!

Tell us!!!!

Elphame · 24/04/2019 15:48

Can't trust anyone. I just got stung with a fake Mulberry from a well known high street charity shop. They'd labelled it Mulberry too.

AlaskanOilBaron · 24/04/2019 15:49

Name and shame, please (placemarking).

qazxc · 24/04/2019 15:50

Katie Price?
Whoever it was might not have realised they were fake if they were gifted to them, and they are giving you a refund so I'd give them the benefit of the doubt.

Mrsemcgregor · 24/04/2019 15:50

How much did you pay for them? £200 each I would be annoyed. £3.50 not so much.....

UterusUterusGhali · 24/04/2019 15:52

Seeing as the premise of "reality" to is essentially a great big lie, why on earth would you think someone involved in that sort of fakery would be flogging real designer goods at a car-booty?

This is nuts!

IvanaPee · 24/04/2019 15:54

You have to give us a clue @Merrydoula

midsomermurderess · 24/04/2019 15:54

Go straight to the Mail, no? Hmm

pineapplepatty · 24/04/2019 15:57

MayFayner · 24/04/2019 16:00

Toff could never be dead-eyed!
