It's a nightmare isn't it. My DD doesn't have access to anything online but has a friend who has a phone and unlimited/unsupervised access to anything she likes. They mainly play together at school so it's not a concern there but her friend is constantly on her phone on apps such as TikTock whenever they have playdates at my house. It's so hard to police another persons child and access to tech as it makes you look like you're criticising their parenting. I usually just don't allow the friend on my WiFi now claiming it slows down Netflix and things but it doesn't obviously stop her taking pics and videos to post later. I also seem to be very far from the norm in my area not allowing my 8yo to use these apps or have a phone!
