We don't have proper neighbours as such (live in the country) but the house behind us they do tend to start grass cutting and hedge cutting early. Grass cutting isn't really a noise that bothers me too much I have to say - I find it oddly therapeutic and comforting! The window cleaners having an extremely loud conversation right at our bedroom window at 8am one morning last week, did however, annoy me! Surely the fact that all the bedrooms had the curtains closed and there was no sign of life in the rest of the house might suggest people were sleeping. I find that very unprofessional - plus, they discuss other customers and their addresses right at the window (downstairs bedroom). I think that's shocking.

I don't let my kids out until 10am but my horrible neighbours next door start all sorts of noise from around 6.

Those window cleaners were rude @glitterblue

It's like some people think because THEY are up early, that everyone else can jolly well be up early too.

Not everyone works the same hours, and is up at 7am!

That works both ways though. Just because you're still asleep at 8am, doesn't mean everyone else has to tiptoe around you!

Not unreasonable but maybe a bit unkind. I mean it's not illegal or anything and no 9ne would be within rights to complain.... but spare a thought for the hangovers and lie ins! And maybe leave it till 10am next time?

My arsehole retired, no grandkids, no commitments neighbours started at 7.20 this morning - woodcutting and welding (the man) for one of his usual “bank holiday” projects and she was hoovering and power hosing the car in the drive underneath my bedroom window. They’ve been sat chilling since 10.30 at least but it would have been nice for those of us who work and have extra long commutes everyday to have got more of a lie in.

I wouldn’t be mowing the lawn at 9am on a bank holiday or Sunday as I do think it’s inconsiderate. I’d probably leave it til 10.30am. If I had a commitment in the day I’d just wait until early evening (5.30 or 6ish) as it’s still light and not going to disturb children’s sleep etc.

KingscoteStaff sadly I'm still marking, it's taken the entire day. But definitely next BHM.
