Ant and Dec on the M&S self service tills...

Wasn’t expecting to hear the voice of a convicted drunk driver when I checked out my shopping the other day. AIBU to feel unhappy about M&S putting Ant &Dec on their self-checkouts? Think I’ll be voting with my feet....by walking over to the staffed checkouts, . Anyone know if this is just for the duration of the current BGT series, (which M&S are sponsoring)?

I don’t understand how some celebs do something minor and are shunned by the public never to return and others can do serious things and all is forgiven

I got Ant or Dec in M&S this morning, but I don't know which one it was and only know that it was one of them due to this thread, but yes, he was very shouty.

Self service tills piss me off no end anyway. If I wanted to operate a machine I would have sought employment doing that! Lower prices - don’t pay others for gimmicky shit. Cop yourselves on what a waste of resources : want to talk about profit loss ... could have saved 400k right there, imo, if the figure quoted upthread is true. Our local hospital has an M&S inside and when we visited a relative recently I went in for an easter egg and was shouted at by Ant or Dec all the way through my purchase. Madness.
