Why don't people have locks on their bathroom doors?

I've never understood this but a lot of people I know don't have locks on their bathroom doors, probably more don't than do. I've always had a lock on mine, it's much easier than knocking if the door is closed or worrying someone will forget to knock and walk in

@Ghanagirl They are rarely in my house, but when they are they tend to not assume I've just buggered off and left them alone for no reason and come barging into the bathroom.

I don't get the no locks either but then I went to a house that had a big glass door to their bathroom/toilet! It was frosted glass but still glass. I didn't like to see someone lurking outside while I was on the toilet 😳

It's creepy and I hate going to the loo etc if there isn't one. My dads friend used to 'accidentally' walk in on me when I was a teenager

We'll have to take ours off as DGS has locked himself in and turned on the bath this morning. Luckily it's the kind with the slot on the outside. He knew exactly what he'd done too, the wicked infant.

We don’t because there wasn’t one when we moved in and we’ve not needed one. We live in a tiny cottage so you always know when someone has gone upstairs to the loo, and like others have said, if the door is shut, you don’t go in!

I didst have one for years at my previous house. If it's shut it's occupied. If in trouble knock or call out

My mum was obviously uneasy about this because she's always make a show of slamming the bathroom door shut as it to advertise it's occupancy. Makes me 😁 thinking about it !
