If you could go back and chose a career all over again, regardless of what qualifications you'd need or commitments you now have what would you chose? And could you still do it?

Congratulations ForeverLexicon! I think it's so easy to fall into something that pays the bills, fits in with home life etc and then just never really move on from there. 3 years of further training or education or training seems like nothing when you're 18 but once you've started paying bills it seems like it's impossible, even if it might not be.

My school careers advisor had four options - doctor for the ones doing science 'A' levels, accountant for the ones doing maths and nurse or teacher for every one else. I got a letter home to my parents for saying I wanted a job where I could wear jeans every day.

I'm in law and am thinking about moving across and becoming a coroner. I'm in my 50s and where I am it's just about possible if I get a move on.
