I know some of this goes behind the mumsnet 'only drink water and organic food mantra' but hey ho!

So siting in the lounge eating a babybel when DS5 (9) pops up to say only kids should eat that. Got me thinking about the 'kids' stuff i eat and drink as guilty pleasures!!! Capri suns and fruitshots, love. Dairylee and babybels. Kids ceral, which we dont eat much of cause of sugar content! Yesterday we got unicorn shapped chicken nuggets as a treat cause DS4 was going into hosp for a bit today. They were so incredible!

So what are your 'kids' food and drink guilty pleasures.

I'm also partial to Tesco's Bunny Bites - own brand pom bears - and the occasional YoYo.

heidipi · 18/04/2019 22:37

Aldi Rocket Lollies!
I drink water when the kids are watching, orange and mango squash when they're not.
DD2 (6) had her first bag of pickled onion Monster Munch at the cinema last week - nearly turned her face instead out but did not quit. Attagirl!

There's a bakery chain in Scotland that still makes Mr Blobby iced biscuits. Clearly a kids' food...but who under the age of 30 even knows who Mr Blobby was??

Anyway that's my vote. Also in this house spaghetti hoops are a valid adult breakfast food.

Gingerkittykat · 18/04/2019 23:30

@moosesormeece You must mean Baynes the Bakers, I have wondered why Noel Edmonds has not sued them for copyright yet!

They do an excellent range of kids cupcakes, it's a tradition I go in and buy teenage DD the one with the wonkiest face on it, especially the minions ones since she hates the minions. Yesterday I bought her a cupcake with a chick on top and by the time I got home the chick was squashed and mangled. I'm extremely fond of the cupcake with the hundreds and thousands and smartie on top.

Daiylea and ham sandwiches on pappy white bread with a bowl of canned tomato soup to dip it into.

Omg, do they still make cheese hamwiches? What about turkey drummers?

wontletmelogin · 19/04/2019 18:48

Kids crisps are the best Grin and lunchables. Me and DP are moving into our first place soon and I kind of want to buy loads of turkey dinosaurs, potato smilies/waffles, mini kievs etc for 'emergency' dinners Grin I guess any day can be an emergency if you try hard enough.

ShabbyAbby · 19/04/2019 19:01

Spaghetti hoops (or even better alphabetti spaghetti)

@moosesormeece & @Gingerkittykat this is absolutely outing but I'm originally from the village that the Baynes bake house is in - sous lugs beat mr blobby biscuits hands down though!

I love a tango ice blast & it's always my drink of choice at the movies. Also sometimes often pinch a pack of DS's mini maryland choc chip cookies.

TheFastandCurious · 19/04/2019 19:18

I only show up to kids parties with my little one for the party buffet and the “parents tuck in, it’s all got to go” announcements.

In fact, it’s the only reason I chose to have kids.
