Hello there mums.i m a mother of 2 boys first one is 4 and a half and the second one is 3 months old. I have noticed him.not tracking any movements be it toys or my fave. He does noit make eye contact either. He does however look at lights n follows them. Its driving me insane the morw i read about it. I am goibg to visit a.doc on saturday. Just want to know if anyone has come accross this with their kids or any other insight on this topic that wud reassure me or otherwise guide me what steps should i take. In his first chek up the day he was born his red reflux or reflex i dont know was marked absent and at the 2 week chek up the doc said thatnits present now nothing to worry about. After that hus eyes have not been checked. Thank u

Cousin marriage is legal in the U.K. too, although rare now.

Hope your baby is ok OP - you’re doing the right thing by seeing a doctor.

My friend was born with congenital cataracts 70 years ago (before surgery was available) and she's had a very successful career as a teacher. As worrying as surgery is on a small child, be positive, they will be fine

Sabawaqas · 21/04/2019 18:50

Best of luck, he has the most important thing -- a mum who loves him and is looking out for his best interests.

Wow that’s so quick and efficient :) I hope it all goes really really well. Good to have a doctor with experience of the specific issue.

Footle · 24/04/2019 11:09

So glad you haven't got a long wait for the surgery.

Sabawaqas · 24/04/2019 20:05

Yes we have been really lucky we drive all the way from.oman to dxb which is 5 hours including international borders n immigration and stuff. On the way got to know dat the pead oph clinic in dxb hsptl is only on tuesday upto 7 pm which meant if v didnt reach on tym v had to wait a week. Reached right in tym n got a walk in app wid the doc. Had to wait both boys were so exhausted but i ttried to keep everyone positive. Cabt tha k the Almighty enuf. Lots of private hsptls r der too but gov hsptls r way much better here aince they hore d best docs to serve der ppl. Anyhow the dpc escalated it as an urgent treatment n here m in the room.wid my boy. He gets operated 7 am 2moro 25th april. Just prayin for the rest to go safe n smooth

OP I don’t know about time zones but I hope all goes well tomorrow, or today depending on what time it is where you are.

I’m not a religious person so I don’t prey but I’m sending my best wishes. I have a catalogue of eye conditions so I’m extra hoping your son has a good outcome. Flowers

Op, I used to be a children’s nurse working on a ward where cataract operations were done. The children did so well, and got better so quickly.
Sending much love to you and your family.

FoxSquadKitten · 25/04/2019 09:00
