Flowers from Next. 30 pounds a bunch!

Ordered 2 bouquets of flowers with vases to be placed on a birthday party table tonight.

AIBU to want a refund? It’s a significant birthday and I ordered these to save myself a bit of prep time.
I appreciate good flowers are expensive but is this really what to expect for £60.00 ?

The picture is of what was delivered compared to what I ordered.

My Mum got Next flowers for Mother’s Day & they were pretty poor. Definitely complain OP 💐

Those look to me like a cheap supermarket bunch costing no more than about a tenner. I’m no florist (clearly, seeing as the florist upthread put the price at about the right amount with postage) but I’d be disappointed.
Having sent bloom and wild plenty of times and received them myself and been very happy with them, I recommended them to my mum who used them a couple of weeks ago to send some to a sick relative.
They were utterly atrocious, she sent me pictures of basically a box of 20 snapped stems Shock - they were horrific. She complained and they sent out a second box and a voucher. The second box were unbelievably worse. I’ve never seen anything like it. I was 1) gobsmacked and 2) embarrassed I had recommended them.

Yes I know you need greenery and flowers don't grow in isolation but come on, the flower bouquet received looks nothing like the one advertised on the website.

Utter rip off in my opinion and you'd be able to pick up something lovely for at least half the price somewhere else

Yabu for using Next to order flowers from....always always use a local independent florist....its v easy to google florists close to where you want them sending...

The person that asked about Freddie’s flowers. These are mine that came yesterday.
I’ve had them twice a month for a year and love them

The flower count is exactly the same so what's going on? A spot of retouching on the photography to make it look more than it is? Would a retailer actually do such a thing? Shocking!

DH bought me what he thought was a beautiful pot plant for our anniversary from Next one year as he was away with work. What actually eventually arrived was a sad, wilted, weedy looking thing in a plastic container. It died about a day after it arrived. I think he spent quite a bit on it and he was pretty upset that it was so poor.

Those flowers are crap and nothing like the image. I would definitely be complaining.

Redglitter · 18/04/2019 19:13

I'd never use Next again for flowers. I ordered some for my Mum a couple of years ago.and I was embarrassed when I saw them.

I use a wee local florist now I get far more flowers for my money & she takes a real pride in her work.

Definitely complain. I got a refund when I did

Tbh I don’t agree with supermarket flowers being poor quality I find the complete opposite. If I buy flowers from my local Morrison’s they outlast any other more expensive ‘proper’ florist ones.

Whatjusthappenedthere · 20/04/2019 17:20

Full refund and a ten pound gift voucher from Next.

That's a great outcome!

I’ve always found Next flowers to be shit to the point of embarrassment.
