Can someone tell me why fishifingers are often vilified as part of children's diets but not a fishcake or other breaded fish? Or are they all and I just miss that? Aibu to think a fishifinger is the same as a fish and any other breaded cod fillet?

I once saw a woman stating only stupid people feed their children fish fingers and she would NEVER do that when she has children...Oh how I laughed at her.

I am glad I am over all of the toddler weaning angst.

My kids are very privileged, we can afford to take them to lovely restaurants and they love posh food.

They will also eat baked beans straight out of the can if needs must.

Best not to limit your options.

@IAmNotAWitch cold baked beans straight out the tin with salad cream mixed in used to be my hangover cure!

I want me some fishifingers now.. I love them and I don't have kids just yet (waiting for my little bubba to arrive in august, 22weeks pregnant now)... definitely will feed them to my kid when she's old enough..

I have to eat the gluten free fishifingers and they are NOT the same. The fish is fine but doesn't stay as protected as muggle fingers due to the gf breadcrumb coating falling apart.

My gf life. Sometimes it sucks. 🤨

I've just bought battered fish goujons, tartare sauce, spinach/rocket/watercress salad, white bloomer, chips and beans.

I can't wait.

If you haven’t made nigella’s ritzy chicken nuggets then can I urge you to do so immediately?if not sooner?
