I'll go first!

Replenishing my baby changing bag at the end of the day- ie. filling with new nappies, wipes, topping up my formula powder pot, fresh Muslin cloth & bib all ready for the next day

Tidying the living room, plumping pillows etc before I go to bed so it's nice and tidy in the morning

This one's got to be popular- emptying the washing basket 🧺 --for all of five minutes!!

Turning down the beds and shutting the curtains making the bedrooms all cosy for night time

I know I know- I'm very sad! Would love to hear other people's! ....

I’m a minger.

I love getting hairs out of the shower.....longer the better.

I also love washing and bleaching the bin after bins are collected.

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 11/04/2019 20:33

I love a shop at the supermarket, I kind of zone out and take my time, I especially like doing scan and shop and trying to spend just enough to be able to use a money off coupon. Then at the self checkout I take my time and use up loose change to the exact amount. It's quite excitingBlush

HugoBearsMummy · 11/04/2019 20:34

@Jinglejanglefish I take a very small Tupperware container and fill with formula powder & scoop. I then take however many bottles I'll need for the day & fill to 4oz with boiling water, I then place the bottles in my tommee tippee insulated bottle bags which keeps the water warm for few hours. When I'm ready to feed baby I just scoop the formula in to the bottles and shake as I would at home 😊

@LaurieMarlow I'd say food shop counts as it's an errand Smile

Bleaching bins after collection - Is this a thing? Should I be doing this? I feel like a slob that I’ve never once done this!

TooLittleTooLate80 · 11/04/2019 20:39

Doing the food shop. My tesco has "scan as you shop" so your shopping is packed as you go along and no queues for a till. 30 minutes max.

Jsmith99 · 11/04/2019 20:41

I love food shopping. Always have. Whether it’s Waitrose, Aldi, the local bakery, the market, the posh farm shop I love it all.

Visiting foreign supermarkets is a highlight of my holiday. I love wandering round Lidl in Germany and comparing it to Lidl in the U.K. I even have favourites in the countries I visit regularly, eg Publix in the US, Leclerc in France, REWE in Germany, Hipercor/ El Corte Ingles in Spain.

I am very, very sad Blush.

holly873 · 11/04/2019 20:42

Using rhubarb method on the kitchen worktops. I do this far too many times during the course of the day.

Cracking open a new bottle of toilet duck and putting the first squirt of it around the rim of the loo.

Seeing a freshly mopped floor.

HugoBearsMummy · 11/04/2019 20:43

@Jinglejanglefish unless someone was extremely ill in our house, once beds are made they're out of bounds ha ha ! Napping can be done on the sofa... but that said- that would mess up my scatter cushions and I couldn't have that either lol WinkGrin

You people are odd. Why is everyone calling it 'pegging out' too? Have I entered another universe?!!

Fr3d · 11/04/2019 20:48

Definitely "hanging" here!

I thought of one...putting the fruit in the food bowl after doing the shopping. Fresh fruit, bright colours...

ThreePoints · 11/04/2019 20:54

It's called pegging out so that you can joke with your family that you are just going to peg out (and they can laugh hilariously for the eleventy billionth time) Grin.

64sNewName · 11/04/2019 21:08

Much as I am reading this thread with a slightly raised eyebrow and thinking how the patriarchy has us all way too firmly in its grip ... I’m also now kind of looking forward to turning down the bed (even though I only have a couple of big cushions for leaning against, not scatters or any little fussy bits). And I might buy some rhubarb Method.

But I still think tidying is basically drudgery.

HugoBearsMummy · 11/04/2019 21:09

Tbh I'd never heard of pegging out either it's deffo hanging out where I'm from lol

@HugoBearsMummy

ShockShockShock

I just get in my bed when I am ready. No poncing about with turn down shit and making it cosy

HugoBearsMummy · 11/04/2019 21:15

@CaptainPovey you don't know what you're missing Wink

Bleaching bins after collection - Is this a thing?

^^

Nope. Its a myth. Like cleaning skirting boards.

managedmis · 11/04/2019 21:18

Rhubarb method?

Dare I ask?

Rafabella8 · 11/04/2019 21:18

I like hand washing dishes, rather than stacking the dishwasher. I find it relaxing for some odd reason. Wash, rinse, stack neatly! love it! I also get a huge sense of satisfaction cushion plumping.

PlumCakeChica · 11/04/2019 21:19

I enjoy meal planning and doing the online weekly food order. And I like washing up, I have a lovely view of the garden and sky, and can day dream a little. Satisfying to see all the dishes gleaming on the draining board. I like to make a nice cup of tea afterwards and admire my work Grin

Bloody loathe ironing, dusting and changing bed linen though!

HugoBearsMummy · 11/04/2019 21:21

@managedmis I clean my skirting boards every time I clean the house Blush

holly873 · 11/04/2019 21:25

Rhubarb method? Try it. Just trust me on this one Grin

MaHeidsGouping · 11/04/2019 21:30

Clementine method smells amazing!

This thread has reminded me my washing is still out Sad.

LaurieMarlow · 11/04/2019 22:05

Oh I haven’t tried rhubarb method. I might just get some. I LOVE the lavender one.

LaurieMarlow · 11/04/2019 22:08

I clean my skirting boards every time I clean the house
