Has anyone got experience of using CBD cannabis oil?

Posting for traffic.
My 17 year old DD has a chronic condition that means she is in constant pain. She has a lot of medication but nothing very effective.

I’ve seen CBD in Holland & Barratt & read up what I can ... does anyone take it with success?

You need to buy proper ones and proper doses and consistency is key!

Different tincture are for different illness so if it hasn’t worked, try higher dose or different tincture

There's some evidence that CBD oil is effective for arthritis in dogs but (1) although it appears to have been a well-conducted double-blinded trial it was a small study, sample size 48 IIRC, and (2) the effective dosage was 2mg/kg body weight twice daily which is a bit on the pricey side.

All I can feedback back is our experience -
She’s taking 2 capsules of the Jacob Hooy from Holland & Barratt which I bought before getting advice on here - I’ll go for something if she continues to do okay on these.

That is actually listed as extract of cannabis oil so the affect will be really minimal

Yeah it made me super tired, super hungry, super horny and made me gain weight.

Mine was v high strength though super expensive from Switzerland I think

A friend has epilepsy with frequent seizures. She's trying it out and whilst she's still having the seizures, she 'comes round' far, far faster afterwards if someone puts drops in her mouth during, apparently.

The oil tastes like you’re chewing an oak table leg.. complete with varnish.

Funny - my friend was laughing with me that very often her friends and colleagues are so intrigued by the stuff that they try it out too - she frequently comes round from a fit to hear 'Bloody hell, this tastes like shit!'

It didn’t help me at all.

DD definitely has had a relatively amazing week though, so will be keeping on with all meds & supplements including the CBD .

How is your daughter doing on the CBD oil and which one did you find the best. I need it for back pain but also mainly for insomnia.

Any help would be appreciated as it seems to be a minefield.

I tried some full spectrum when I moved (fibromyalgia and CFS) and it took the edge off when used with my cocodamol. Tasted absolutely awful though

I used to suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. Someone recommended me to try CBD oil, and I did it. I would say it helped me to overcome anxiety more than any other pills. But once, I couldn’t find it anywhere in my area, and I decided to smoke weed instead of taking CBD oil. I noticed that weed was more effective. Probably, it was because of the higher level of THC. Later, I started smoking weed instead of CBD oil and didn’t even notice how I became addicted. I became more nervous and anxious if I didn’t smoke a joint. I found a self-test for marijuana addiction on quitmarijuana.org/marijuana-addiction-test and realised that I need help.

We used a cbd oil for then 17 year old dd

It didn’t do anything for her and we bought one of the more expensive stronger ones
