Currently feeling very sorry for myself, i have a dental absses in my tooth. just started antibiotics today, half of my face is swollen including my gum ive taken ibroprofen, paracetamol and codeine and oragel isnt touching it, cant lie down keep crying feel like screaming. DCs wonderimg why im such a mess! nothings releving it. have to wait a couple weeks to have the bugger taken out.
ive had 5 DSs, id rather go through that again.

I had terrible toothache and an abscess when I was pregnant so all I could take was paracetamol. I was also using clove oil until I read some stuff online about clove oil and pregnancy so stopped. I ended up getting the tooth pulled out. In my experience clove oil helped until the pain got excruciating then it wasn't as effective. I used loads all over the tooth and gum, instant relief (I don't think your supposed to use this much though!)

Worst pain of my life. Amoxicillin is not enough - you need metrozinadole with it as well ASAP, try and get an emergency dental appointment for tonight. Feel so sorry for you as it’s the only time I’ve wanted to die. X

Is paramol dyhydrocodeine

A combination of painkillers and an ice pack.

I second paramol. Had impacted wisdom teeth. Nothing touched the pain. Paramol allowed me to function.

thanks all for the virtuali hugs starting to settle, but the amount of painkillers ive been taking just to get a tiny . bit of relief has made me feel really ill. need it to end. cant take diclofenic unfortatle

Warm water and lots of salt...
Use as mouth wash, dentist said to use it
Was shocked how quickly it worked, abscess came up in 3 hours popped it, and did the wash a lot that day, was gone by next morning.
