We all have moments where it just gets too much and it comes out in unexpected places. YANBU at all.

FurrySlipperBoots · 01/04/2019 18:31

You poor thing! What a horrible time you're having. Sending cyber hugs.

Justheretogiveaviewfrommyworld · 01/04/2019 18:33

YADNBU OP. I cried in a shop when DS1 (now 24) was a toddler and knocked a jar of pickled onions off a shelf.

FaFoutis · 01/04/2019 18:34

I cried in the co-op this morning. And then I packed my bag before the cashier had scanned my shopping. I cried and shoplifted, and I don't even have your excuse Bellag.

CosISaid · 01/04/2019 18:35

I cried in an interview once if that's any help? Lol

BillywigSting · 01/04/2019 18:38

Either one of a prolapsed disc or dog needing surgery warrants a good cry I'd say.

Add to that the unholy carnage that is a supermarket in the early evening and you have a recipe for disaster.

I hope you get some relief from the pain soon and your dog makes a full and speedy recovery.

You're definitely not being a wimp btw. I'd be a soggy mess in your shoes.

SteelRiver · 01/04/2019 18:40

You must be in an incredible amount of pain, OP. I think you did amazingly well to even get to Sainbury's. You weren't being an idiot at all. I hope you have some relief from your pain very soon, a d that your dog makes a full recovery. Flowers

mbosnz · 01/04/2019 18:44

So not an idiot, you poor thing! It never rains but it pours. I'm with another poster that Tesco can drive me to rabid tears without a prolapsed disc and a poorly dog. I hope you both feel better sooner rather than later.

mbosnz · 01/04/2019 18:44

Sainsburys!

MuddyMoose · 01/04/2019 18:47

You're human. It all gets a bit much sometimes. You're definitely not an idiot. Please be kind to yourself. I hope your dog is on the mend soon & that you're able to enjoy the rest of your evening Flowers

Paddington68 · 01/04/2019 18:58

I hope you got a lot of chocolate.
Hope you and dog are better soon.

Big, and gentle, hug

NCKitten · 01/04/2019 19:00

You poor thing! Were people kind to you at least?

PleaseFormAQueue · 01/04/2019 19:07

Poor you Flowers

How is your dog?

Raspberry88 · 01/04/2019 19:07

Oh OP. YADNBU to cry wherever you need to. I cried in Costa yesterday and I'm really not sure why tbh. So sorry to hear that you're having such a hard time, really hope you're both better soon Flowers

swimrunfun · 01/04/2019 19:10

Hugs. Sorry you're having a hideous time. I'm sure your lovely pet dog is in great hands.

Sorry nothing constructive to say.

Xx

Whatweretheythinking · 01/04/2019 19:16

Dpup is in the best hands wishing and he can recover.

I cried in sainburys once. I was heavily pregnant and craved soup and rice they have the best soup there but far, to much choice for pregnant me Blush and DH left me crying in the soup isle.

daily fail you are wankers of the highest order.

Mazzystarlett · 01/04/2019 19:17

You have my absolute sympathy Flowers. I cried in the middle of a sewing class last week because of the pain I was in (prolapsed discs, degenerated discs, stress and fibro all decided to gang up at once), I then cried even more because I felt such a complete tit Blush. All bits crossed that your dog makes a full recovery xxx

minou123 · 01/04/2019 19:17

Of course you're not an idiot. These things happen.

I was going through a bad time and I cried to the asda delivery guy when they forgot my diet coke Blush . It was just the final straw and this was the thing that broke the camels back. He was very sweet about it.

Do not worry, most of us have our moments

BlueJava · 01/04/2019 19:19

Don't worry - you certainly aren't an idiot! The other day I went into a cafe with my OH, I had had a migraine and was still recoving - I couldn't get the words out in any form and when the waitress said "What would you like?" I burst into tears. She handled it amazing and my OH ordered for me! So it does happen!

augustusglupe · 01/04/2019 19:19

I had a cry in a cubicle at the leisure centre this afternoon. There was a little boy and his mum in the next cubicle and they were having a giggle together and I’m ridiculously menopausal and remembered DD at that age and the tears came from nowhere.
You’re not an idiot, you sound lovely Flowers

GreatWesternValkyrie · 01/04/2019 19:21

I second registering for online shopping if you can, supermarkets aren’t much fun even on a good day.

I cried at a tv advert not too long ago 😭so you’re definitely not an idiot!

golddustwomen · 01/04/2019 19:32

Definitely not an idiot. I cried in Sainsbury's not long ago after some idiot nearly hit my pram with his car, I then cried in b&m 10 minutes later.
Hope you and your dog are feeling better soon Thanks get some rest tonight you deserve it xx

Bookworm4 · 01/04/2019 19:35

@bellag
My dog had a serious operation today and I burst into tears in the vets when I collected her, sometimes the stress and worry just gets too much. Love to your wee doggy xx

ineedaholidaynow · 01/04/2019 19:38

I cried in Game once. It was about 2 months after DF died and I was trying to do some Christmas shopping. I was in the queue and the tears just started pouring down my face. I had to walk out and go home.

I also cried in Sainsbury’s. They were playing carols and Silent Night came on. I went and sobbed in the loo Blush

I hope you and Ddog feel better soon Flowers
