AIBU to be really enjoying Mother's Day?

Flowers from DH. He took baby boy for a few hours to let me nap, then entertained him so I could drink a hot cup of coffee and read my book. We all just went and had a nice late breakfast in local pub. Walked the dog and off to afternoon tea with my parents and sister later today.

Any one else having a good time?

But that’s down to the giant chocolate bar I’ve just eaten. 🤢

Yes me too got flowers perfume chocolates and gift set had breakfast in bed now as my mums for a while to give her her presents and card then dp taking me out for dinner and cocktails since we are off work for a few days.

Had a lovely lie in. DD wrote me a beautiful letter that reduced me to tears. She’s bought me spa products so she ran me a hot bath with muscle relaxing salts. While I was having a nice long soak she’s prepared dinner (roast chicken) and whilst it’s cooking she’s going to do me a facial and manicure.
Apple pie and ice cream for later with a Pinot and binge watching SVU (again).

Lovely day here too, DS age 13 being very considerate & bought me hotel chocolate chocs with his own money & made me a great card. We've had pancakes for breakfast, a short walk on the moors & will have roast beef this evening. I've been away a lot for work over the last month & we've had some busy weekends so a quiet day at home is just what I needed...relaxing in front of the wood burner now...

Yep, I'm having a nice day. Dp got up with the dc and they cooked a roast dinner. I got up to cards and some pots of pansys the dc had planted with their childminder. Then dm and dmil came for lunch. It was very civilized. We are now watching Hotel Transylvania together.
