I go to Rome, she goes to Rome
I buy an album, she buys the same album
I post a photo of a beach, she posts a photo of a beach

No joke- I feel like everything I do, she does the same. I said I wanted to go on holiday to a certain place & next thing, she’s there!

Aibu to feel really weird about it all 😱

Definitely what @Horehound said.

I'd go to town with this. Post tattoos/piercings/body modification (lizard tongue?!) etc and set audience to only her and screenshot evidence of the date & that audience is only her. Then when she puts all her posts of herself as a lizard-tongued, green-haired, megadeath-tattoo sporting naturist sunbathing in the Antarctic, THEN you post all your evidence. Voilà!

Don’t try have fun with this. Just end the friendship. It sounds very unnerving and even in jest I’d not want to do anything that might encourage her. This is not the sort of person you play silly games with imo. You are best totally disengaging.

I’m having similar problem . It’s very unnerving . The ‘friend’ I have practically wants to know my every move . She was stalking me on Facebook so I’ve now changed settings so she can’t see anything I post anymore or any events I’m interested in .
I’m trying to distance myself as much as possible .she fires questions at me like a fecking machine gun it’s awful

I'd definitely make her think you're getting an outrageous tattoo &/or piercing.

The turntable has plenty of scope too. Make her think you're suddenly into thrash metal, unless you are of course, in which case fluffy 80s pop.

Agree creepy & weird though. Once you've proven it's not coincidental, I'd cool it.

Mangetoutrodney · 31/03/2019 10:10

@starsparkle it’s weird isn’t it! It’s the underlying competitiveness that freaks me out. As it goes, said friend is loads more financially well off than I am but still needs to compete/copy me. I have a fairly simple life
