I go to Rome, she goes to Rome
I buy an album, she buys the same album
I post a photo of a beach, she posts a photo of a beach

No joke- I feel like everything I do, she does the same. I said I wanted to go on holiday to a certain place & next thing, she’s there!

Aibu to feel really weird about it all 😱

Do as mentioned above with the fake posts. But let your close friends and family in on it first, so they don't get worried.

CantStopMeNow · 31/03/2019 00:11

don't forget to mention the hot tub/jacuzzi you're buying....or planning that cruise to the arctic.....

RedHatsDoNotSuitMe · 31/03/2019 00:46

Have her round for the evening and put SWF on....

poglets · 31/03/2019 00:50

Tel her you have taken up Iron Man training.

justilou1 · 31/03/2019 02:06

Aren’t you moving to Mongolia? Problem solved.

Shadow1234 · 31/03/2019 02:22

Sounds a lot like the film - single white female. I think she wants to be you OP. (Would creep me out, and probably stems from jealousy).

Penguincake · 31/03/2019 05:14

Princess mushroom that sounds horrible. What happened in the end?

RebootYourEngine · 31/03/2019 05:35

I would just start writing things like, yay that's the holiday /tattooist booked can't wait. But don't go into details. And if she asks say I told you where I was going/ what I was getting. Have some fun with it

NotTheFordType · 31/03/2019 05:42

You bought an album? What album? Does she even have a turntable?

Mia184 · 31/03/2019 06:55

Tell her you will spend all your vacation time to go hiking across Antarctica to the South Pole this year.

GottenGottenGotten · 31/03/2019 08:43

An album is the collection of songs. It can be on vinyl, cassette or cd or even mp3. Turntables not necessarily required.

sonjadog · 31/03/2019 09:02

You are training for a marathon, right? Post a photo of you in running gear.

Next week you will be taking your scuba certificate.

Porpoises · 31/03/2019 09:09

The suggestions are entertaining, but I do agree with you op, it's quite disturbing, and id worry it could descend into stalking.

wafflyversatile · 31/03/2019 09:12

Do you have mutual friends? What do they think?

After the tattoo post announce you are leaving social media.

Dramatical · 31/03/2019 09:14

Mane the prize for weirdest comment of the thread Confused goes too ^

OP I would have to say something, but that's the kind of person I am. I don't do games, things to wind her up just seem daft to me, I would ask straight out wtf she is about!

Horehound · 31/03/2019 09:14

You can actually.post stuff and limit the audience. So what you could do is post a photo but only choose her as the audience. No one else can see.

@gamerchick I.love that you suggested megadeth:D

LemonRedwood · 31/03/2019 09:18

Weird choice of which part of the OP to focus on Confused

I had this with a "friend". I backed away from social media and from her in general and it eventually drifted and fizzled out because the info about my life wasn't freely available to her any more. She did move on to someone else though, so it wasn't exactly problem solved completely, but it was solved for me.

Somtamthai · 31/03/2019 09:20

It is hardly conclusive, Rome, album and beach. I mean I’ve done all of these in the last week. She might also be thinking your copying her.

So I definitely think to do something outlandish. Like a large tattoo (fake pics obvs). Or something she’d never in a million years do. If she’s afraid of heights book go ape etc.

Then If she copies either confront or block

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 31/03/2019 09:21

What stops you blocking her?

Mangetoutrodney · 31/03/2019 09:21

Funnily enough- it was a vinyl album as I have a turntable. The weird thing was that she bought a turntable in the same colour and the same album Confused - the whole thing has totally weirded me out.

Single white female alert

Mangetoutrodney · 31/03/2019 09:23

@waffly we do have mutual friends and they think she has issues with me!

BillywilliamV · 31/03/2019 09:27

Maybe stop announcing everything you do/ have done on social media?

Mangetoutrodney · 31/03/2019 09:29

@billy I don’t as it goes. A lot of this is through normal conversations too. I think I need to just back off

OP posts:
Dramatical · 31/03/2019 09:30

That's not really a solution though is it? It's the friends who needs to change their behaviour, not the OP!
