I didn't vote for my MP originally but I'd definitely vote for her next time despite her being in the Labour party. She consistently votes in a way that supports the views of her constituents. She disobeys party whips and uses her conscience.

Perfectly happy with how she voted this week.

Against everything except one vote he abstained on. Abstaining on everything might have been a better option. Our constituency is 50/50 so I’m not sure who he’s representing by voting everything down.

Mine did a lot of abstaining but then went for customs union. There seemed to still be a lot of votes by party line and I was particularly disappointed the second referendum didn’t get through. I thought that was the one thing that would.

I don’t think I can be too upset by mps voting no deal in remain areas (if that is what they genuinely believe to be best rather than game playing). After all lots of remain mps are in constituencies that are heavily for leave. Having convictions can’t only work one way.

No deal. What a twat.

Anyone else see proposer of ‘revoke (If no deal had been agreed - to avoid no deal crashing out)’ who when that was defeated said ‘f labour’ to her neighbour. My thoughts exactly.
May only have been on ‘parliament live tv’ which I have become vaguely addicted to Grin

She abstained on two, against for the rest. Surprised she turned up, tbh.

I bet some didn’t vote because they were away on other business. What business is more important?

We are in a strong Remain area and our MP has never represented the constituency’s views (but is happy to be ‘fluid’ with the expenses rules) She voted for no deal

I'm in an area where 65% of us voted Remain. My MP voted no deal and against everything else. I have no words.

@HildegardCrowe
Drop them an email asking them to explain their decision.

A strong leave majority in this area and our MPs votes fit with that.

If your MPs voting doesn't represent their constituency please please email them. If you google you will find their email address or email via //www.theyworkforyou.com .

Whenever I have emailed my MP I have received a considered reply back.

A General Election won't be far away and it's worth highlighting to them what the people who vote for them actually think.

Fortunately I agree with my MPs voting on this one, so I'll stick to sending emails about bus lanes :)

Yes will email her - it will at least make me feel a bit better!

I'm happy with the way my MP voted, I also voted for her in the GE. She is SNP so their votes were party aligned but I'm good with that.

My mp is Theresa May.
Nothing more needs to be said.

Mine is in the cabinet and abstained in everything.

She's always put her career first, certainly before her constituency. So this is no surprise.

@dirtystinkyrats - sounds like we have the same MP!!!

Although I'm upset by the votes of snake who calls itself my MP, the OP asks if they are representing their constituents. I suspect mine actually does - this shithole I call my home town is crawling with no-deal morons.

RMogs · 28/03/2019 08:39

Abstained on everything, as I expected he would.

I really really wish for once he'd surprise me, even if it wasn't the way I wanted, rather than being a useless wet blanket

RMogs · 28/03/2019 08:55

I have emailed him... I expect to get a pat answer back. I'm also tempted to stir the pot on FB as I know several others will also email.

Mine voted yes go the first 4, abstained on 5&8, no to 6&7.
I’m in a 72% remain area so I feel that she represented us well.

I would imagine that more constituencies voted Leave than Remain so surely this should be reflected in Parliament?

Report
MirandaWest · 28/03/2019 09:07

Mine voted against 1-5, abstained on 6 and for 7 and 8. In a 55% remain constituency although you’d never think that by reading local Facebook groups...

Report
HarrysOwl · 28/03/2019 09:07

Ours abstained from voting for/against another referendum and revoking article 50.

What a coward. I'm so frustrated they put their political careers first and refuse to get off the fucking fence.
